A $2000 laptop on a $20 music stand is not a wise choice.

Sheet music weighs next to nothing and doesn't break when it falls. One bump and your laptop can become toast. I've done exactly this and had close calls.

got this deal last time, it's strong and light, easy to adjust, easy to keep sheet music in place due to the solid back and the wire arms, and I'm ordering another one now so the kids each have their own.

I have one of these that I use all the time - it works great for holding up an iPad. I would NOT trust it with anything much heavier though - it's not to hard to overcome the angle/tilt clamp with a bit of pressure.

I purchased last time as well. Great music stand.
I agree, I wouldn't put heavier things that you don't want to risk falling.

I got this from the previous deal. It's pretty sturdy. I use it for my chromebook and budget projector. Thinking of getting a second one so the kids could use it as an actual music stand.

For projectors, I'd buy additional straps to secure it.
