Got the Trooper 20qt from the last deal. Came brand new in the box. Came with the carabiner multi-tool/bottle opener. I took it to the beach for a week and to backyard BBQs. It's perfect for what it is and I really prefer the latch to the pain in the butt zippers the Yeti has. Easy one handed opening and closing versus struggling with a zipper with both hands.

How can a cooler be refurbished? I mean do they go bad and they can be refurbished?

No comparison. Otterbox us US made and top quality. Igloo is trash in comparison. I own two ventures. I also own a yeti, and an orca. The drawback are the space taken by the handles but they're comfortable to carry unlike the hand killer yeti.

I got the 25qt and the 45qt a few months ago the last time this deal was on here for camping trips and because people were saying they come brand new, from what I can tell that seems to be true, either someone returned it without using or they come brand new, as far as the quality of the coolers themself's, so far so good. They're very sturdy and keep things cold for a long time, I'm pretty happy that I got these and they seem to a pretty good bang for your buck.

Why is it trash, besides the fact you prefer US made products? Its a fair preference but can you elaborate on quality.

Stuck on the 45 vs 65 Venture. In real world use have you found the 45 to be sufficient for a weekend camp trip? The 40" wide 65 may not fit in my cargo space. TIA

I ordered the 20qt trooper from this site a few months back and had no issues. Cooler seemed brand new. Took it rafting on several multi-day trips and it held up well. It wasn't the main cool, just our temporary beer cooler but does what it's supposed to do and it held up to getting strapped down, banged up and general rafting foolishness.
