I don't think this is a minor thing either after reading a dozen pages or so and may be a deal breaker for many.

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen
Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)
Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping
Costco Warehouses
Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.
4K 120HZ Blur Issue
(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078
Hope this helps!

But if you're that picky about tv quality you should be getting OLED.
650 savings with tax... Makes returning the 850g for this even better now.
am i still eligible to return it.
am i still eligible to return it.
If these features are worth the extra cost to you and it's within your budget then I suggest you go for it. You have 90 days to initiate the return from the day you received it. I'm using the box from my 90CH to return my 850g, because white glove took my 850g box. I called customer service to make sure that was OK and they said it was, but they put a note on the account just to make sure there would be no issues.

Most previous owners say they have some form of burn in within 2 years. It depends on usage but that's pretty bad.
I've had burn in experience with 2 plasma TVs back when they were the rage. I love Oled TVs but I'm skipping them until the burn in issue is resolved. It gets better every generation but still a big problem. On the flip side, LG Oled TVs are really well-built. I love that screen thickness and metal build of the screen. Very premium.
In any case, I'd like to keep my $2k TV for more than 2 years.
I spent the last few days researching the heck out of current TVs (and some past ones) and the 900H is one of the best TVs (and the best value) out there.
Other good options are Samsung RU9000 ($1k on Costco BF ad for 75"), TCL 6 series 75", and Hisense H8G. Sony 950H is a step up from 900H (the non costco version of TV in this thread), has wider viewing angles and a few minor advantages but it has lower contrast ratio while being about $300-400 more.
I don't think this is a minor thing either after reading a dozen pages or so and may be a deal breaker for many.

Going into the warehouse tomorrow to see if they have it In stock. If they do I'll buy it making sure I can price adjust on the 20th.
I don't see the "save and invest" for this deal. How is this saving or investing for 2k spent on tv.
I just spent a few already on real estate but still can't justify myself spending 2k on a tv

This is first ever hdmi 2.1 on such a massive scale. Sony can't afford to f this up. As this tv's price is allowing many to get it. This is being sold in large quantities.
There's always risk with first year modes of new technology/car or whatever.
Will keep following.

Some people don't watch TV at all, some people watch TV all day. Then there are the gamers. Some people buy a new TV every year, some people upgrade their TV once every decade. Some people spend over $1000 on a smart phone every year or two. Some people buy super high end cars. Some spend thousands on shoes and jewelry. Some people donate it all. There is no need to judge people because they're budget priorities differ than yours.
For me, I at least have the TV on about 8hrs a day whether I am watching it or have it on in the background. It's been over a decade since I've upgraded my TV (which is currently 46in eventhough I sit 18ft away). Based on my research this is the largest cheapest decent TV. The cheaper ones of this size are way too poor for my standards. The better ones have a huge price jump that is more than I want to spend on a TV. Any larger of a TV won't fit up my stair well and would be alot more expensive.
