I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

Anyone know a TV around 2500 dollars as good as this, maybe with true hdmi 2.1 at 85 incheI
There is no "true" hdmi 2.1 right now. If you want a tv just for 2.1 I would probably just wait it out till later next year to see how it all works out. There could be a chance that the hdmi 2.1 hardware is improved in next years tvs.

What is true HDMI 2.1? Are the Samsung TVs not true HDMI 2.1? I was debating between this Sony and the Samsung Q80T but after this supposed blurring issue, leaning more towards the Q80T.

People on AVS forum and Reddit are furious over the blur issue. Maybe this is among the reason why the 900h series has always had such steep discounts from start.

65 under 1k that too before Black Friday. In past years this wasn't ever the trend. 75 for 1570 and 85 for 1970.

The pricing has been very aggressive

Reminder: this is the TV that's recommended for the PS5... there sure is lot of FUD atm.. Sony would need to address this ASAP

It's very disconcerting. If a new firmware update(s) don't fix it, could see a class action lawsuit begin to brew.

I believe the q90s are true 2.1 The 80s aren't, but for the most part it won't matter due to no realistic content being able to take full advantage. Same with this, but my goal is a 2500 dollar 85 inch that can at least do VRR, eARC, and 4k120.

Yeah.. I literally got so happy last night seeing this price and was going to purchase ..but now I'm concerned

Tv aren't easy to flip. So it needs to be a good product at the time of purchase.

I'm gonna continue following the thread as Sony deserves a chance to first fix the issue. If issues keep piling up and so it may be better to not be early adopters of 4K/120 for new PS5/Xbox series X.

I have a 930E which has pretty damn good picture and I may just stick to it another year if Sony is in a mess with the 900H series.

"Promised features" are always a risky investment.

Check my post history, I've been saying for a while now that 4K set prices will drop big this holiday season, and many still jumped the gun on deals over the past month.

This is only the beginning. It will be a race to the bottom between Samsung, Vizio, Sony, and LG.

I got this TV a couple of weeks ago (the 85").. so far so good at 4k @ 60hz, but its claim of doing 4k @ 120hz is what really sold me on it. With the recent discussion of what's going on with 4k @ 120hz (the blurry issues), I'm glad I bought it from Costco and have another 2-1/2 months to return it if needed. My plan is to use it with my 3090, so if it doesn't do 4k @ 120hz (without the blur as is the case right now) by the time my return window is up, it will be returned to Costco in favor of something else.

If 4k @ 120hz is not a concern to you, then its a great TV right now, especially at the sale price.

If you plan to pick it up locally, bring a big van or truck - the box is massive!

The 120Hz blurry issues on this set are only relevant if you plan to use this as a monitor (an 85'' monitor?). I believe with console gaming, the perceived blurriness is a feature, not a bug as per Sony - to enhance the experience for "most of the users".

It is a great TV and I had it, however, the HDR doesn't get very bright, so if you plan on using this during day time or even in a moderately lit room, it will not perform well because of that and really bad reflection handling. Everything else is pretty great with this TV.

RTINGS': In both Q90T / Q80T Reviews: "This TV supports most common resolutions. It's advertised as being able to display 4k@120Hz with chroma 4:4:4 and 10-bit color depth on its HDMI 4 input. However, we were only able to get it to display an image at 4k @ 60Hz, using the same computer and settings that we had used to test the Q90R. It likely requires an HDMI 2.1 source, which there are none of at the moment. We will retest this once we have a proper source and provide an update."

How do you intend to get a price match? The price will be valid only on 11/20. They require 5 business days to make the adjustment, so if they refuse you would have not been able to take benefit of the warehouse sale either. If you call do they do it while you are on the call?
Worst case I can just have them pick it up and I'll buy it again, which absolutely makes no sense. My interactions with costco have always been sensical so I'm hoping I don't run into a problem. I also believe the price is good from 11/20 to 11/30 I believe.

Agreed. But my comment was the scenario of if it runs out of stock before they make the adjustment

yes that is likely correct. But they are coming in the 30 series and next gen consoles.

The price is good from Nov 20 - 30. Does the item have to be in stock for them to adjust the price?

Really had my sights set on the 85" 950H since I'm not huge into gaming and would use it more for movies and sports but this price is super hard to pass up.

Any guesses as to what the 950Hs will be going for on Greentoe Nov20-30? $2500 please?

I know Costco is the way to go over Greentoe but Costco apparently doesn't carry the 950H.
