I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

Install the legs for the tv first. The the bracket on the backside. Then the wall mount. It would be helpful if you have three people, while two of you lift the tv up, the third person removed the legs and so you can mount it to the wall. Be careful don't bend the tv of lay it face down
Yeah, I was thinking of installing the legs first (even though I don't intend to keep them on) so that we could rest it on top of the table I've got and then more easily move it from there to the wall mount (and then remove the legs). It sounds like you're saying that I shouldn't ever lay the TV face down, but won't I have to do that to put the legs on?

Debatng on picking this up or the 82 inch samsung ru9000? Is this sony worth the extra $500? Seems this post is getting much more attention then the samsung one. Some insight would be nice. Trying to decide between the 2. Thanks!

I wanna know this too!
i have multiple Samsungs in my house for a few years now... 55KS8000 in the family room and 82MU8000 in the living room. the KS8000 is still a fantastic TV, the MU8000 is good-enough to accept the tradeoff for size/price at the time. this year though, Samsung really put out some garbage in the majority of their product lines. to get a comparable TV to this Sony, still falling short in a few areas, you need to step up to a Q80... which is a big price jump from this, even with my EPP and various sales.

skip the Samsung, this Sony will blow it out of the water.

Here is the link to amazon...29.92 with 10% discount box to be checked to save 2.99, 26.93 total. https://www.amazon.com/JUSTSTONE-...157&sr=8-3 [amazon.com]
I just ordered but may cancel... Some of those 1-star reviews are scaring me. Some people are saying it's not good for heavier TVs.

Thank you much! I think I will spend the extra $500 and grab this TV.

Deal is probably not dead since it doesn't start till Nov. 20th. Whether they have inventory by then is another question lol.

Comes in and out of stock. Keep checking. My guess is that they are saving stock for when it actually goes on sale on the 20th.

FWIW, greentoe offered me $2200 on one if those of you don't care for the extra warranty. Its right about what i would pay after taxes.

Has anyone that bought the TV online back in September for $2470 been able to get a price adjustment or have been told that they can get a price adjustment on 11/20?
I'm still within the return window but not the price adjustment window. Would hate to return just to repurchase but $500 is very significant amount.

To those who already own this tv, how is the viewing angle? Is image dark/washed looking from ~70deg from side? Planning on putting this in my living room which is wide and very bright. Deciding whether I should go with this or tv with ips panel. Would appreciate any input from first hand experience. Thanx!

I have the 75" and if you want wide viewing angles this is not the tv for you. It's not horrible but oled will be better for that if it's in your budget.

Love the tv.... And even with watching from angle it does not get washed.... Highly recommend it.

If you have two people holding it up, the leg will snap in place pretty easy. Or you can just leave the TV in the box, with the top part off, and install the brackets. Once done, just life it out of the box and mount to the wall.
