I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Links

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

Has anyone been able to update the X90CH's firmware to support HDMI 2.1? Mine is connected to the internet and it says the software is up to date. I'm running firmware PKG6.0142.0032NAA

Hi, can someone let me know which tv is better? This or LG 86" Class - NANO91 Series for $2150. For approximately 150 extra, is the LG much better than Sony or the same? I'll be using mainly for watching TV , Netflix vudu, etc. Little gaming. TIA.

If anyone's TV isn't updating to support 4K/120Hz, here's the link to manually download it to a USB stick: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xh90xx_x90xxh_x91xxh_xh92xx-series/xbr-85x900h/downloads/00016966#download2

After applying the update, my Xbox Series X is still reporting that the TV only supports 4K/60Hz and no HDR--even with the included cable going straight to the TV. Am I doing something wrong here?

I read from rtings that 4k 120hz only works for hdmi 3 and 4. All 4 hdmi inputs should work according to sony, but they don't.

I have the 75" and if you want wide viewing angles this is not the tv for you. It's not horrible but oled will be better for that if it's in your budget.
Been loving my oled65c6p, especially for 3d. Would love oled in my living room as well but want to go 85 incher and couldn't afford oled that size. I've been using panasonic plasma, and I'm hoping this tv has comparable image with acceptable viewing angle.

I have the 2020 NANO 9 series 75". I was fairly content with it for what I primarily use it for, until recently watching Borat 2 (of all movies) that I became overwhelmingly disappointed.

No spoilers, so there's a scene at night where Borat speaks to his daughter in the first half of the movie and it was this scene that completely changed my mind of this TV from decent to bad. During this night scene, there was an enormous amount of light blooming where the characters and any light colored objects bled the lighter colors into the dark areas (like the dark sky of the night). I absolutely wish I can sell this TV right now and pick up something else. I can't imagine I can get a worse TV set else where (excluding LG OLED).

Even without ever seeing this specific Sony set, I'd still go for the Sony. I'd even bet Sony's worse LCD is better than LG's best LCD sets (which isn't a very high bar I come to realize).

Get the Sony. Or, don't get the LG.

I bought this tv when costoc first offered the 85" paid 2600 for it. Its a steal at 2000! Tv is excellent, picture is bright and clear.

I just got a letter in the email from costco they changed the warranty on this tv to 5 years!!! so guess i will have this one for awhile since at the time i bought the square trade warranty also with it.

They pulled the update for a while due to some issues it was causing. A new update is expected soon.
