I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Links

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

They pulled the update for a while due to some issues it was causing. A new update is expected soon.
I was able to get it to work by manually updating from their web site with a USB stick. Getting 4K/120 to work was tricky, but I had to enable HDMI Enhanced (no Dolby Vision) on HDMI 3 and 4. I'm up and running!

I did the same week ago and I don't have any issues myself, however that update has caused issues for many others (causing the TV to power off/reboot and eARC issues from what I've read). Should be yet another update coming soon anyway. Now that the PS5 is out I would think the new update will be released sooner than later!

I have the 75" and if you want wide viewing angles this is not the tv for you. It's not horrible but oled will be better for that if it's in your budget.
If interested in OLED, Best Buy will have the Sony A8H in 65" for 1000 off @ 1800 on their BF sale.

It's not better, but it's a lot closer to that level of quality than other LCD-based TV's.

In 65" comparison, this Sony is 1000 versus 1800 in OLED. In 85" , the price doubles. For bang for the buck value, this tv in 85" is tough to beat.

In stock right now.. Just ordered one.
What!? That's good news and bad news for me. Good to know that it actually is coming back in stock randomly. Bad that I missed it and I've been checking constantly for the last week, I'm checking at least every 30 minutes while I'm awake.

I would go to the physical store and see if they have any in stock but I'm supposed to be quarantining for another few days.

Is this deal going to be available online? Or is it only in-store. I'm hoping to buy this, but my car won't be able to fit this size TV and I would need delivery which I heard you can only get if it's offered online?

It's been going in and out of stock since the deal was posted. Someone posted it was live again like 3 hours ago, but it sells out fast. Either they are saving most inventory for the start of the sale on the 20th, or they really just have that little stock since this is a popular deal.

I got the TV delivered last week and it's amazing. Waiting until the 20th to submit the price match.

I believe you're right, only online orders can be delivered.

Sorry if this question has already been posted. What is the best TV mount recommended for something like this?

The 2.1 issue is such a small issue to some even if it never gets firmware fixed.

I actually intend to do 0 gaming with it and still plan on buying this TV. What would you recommend for a comparable quality 85" TV in the same price range?
