If you look at their web site, you'll see that several of the product pages say:

I would never put that to the test. But that at least instills faith that it will truly hold what it's rated for.
Setting up a tv this size is recommended to be a 3 person job.
The legs are put on by sliding out a section of packing foam from underneath the tv (while helpers keep the tv upright, while it's still sitting on the center piece of foam) and then you insert the leg (the helper on that end of the tv might need to lift the tv a little.
Regardless.... I don't see the point in putting on legs in order to put on wall mount brackets.
It's much more efficient to for person #3 to just put the brackets on while 1 and 2 keep the tv upright standing on its packing foam. Person 3 will need to measure the positioning of the brackets on the tv versus the mount on the wall versus anything underneath the tv that must be cleared (such as a cabinet).
Measure twice, cut once.
This will increase your chances of getting the mount height right the first time. Really want to avoid having to take the tv off the mount again and adjust brackets and hange it again, etc. That's more chance for accidents to happen.
The two people holding the Tv at the sides should have grippy gloves on.
Regarding the legs/brackets, it WAS useful to pop the legs in the bottom, and then screw on the wall mount brackets on the back of the TV. This is because the packing foam blocks the bottom two VESA holes on the TV.
For what it's worth, I did all of the set up alone, just had to get a 2nd person to lift the TV onto the wall.

I actually didn't like it at the "42 inch viewing height" so I took it down, raised the mount on the wall, and put it back up. I got the Sanus 90" mount from Costco, which will also drop $30 soon.

The 42" height is perfect for sitting, but when standing, it just looks like you can't measure right. Would prefer to avoid the questions and judgment when having guests/family over lol.
