Is this the highest TB? Or is there a 16TB HD from WD?
There's an 18TB version [amazon.com] also but looks like way too expensive

Can you guys really tell the difference between a 60 GB blu-ray remux vs a 6-10 GB HEVC reencode? Seems like a collosal waste of capacity.
Yes. Easily. On our 65in 4k TV, even my SO can tell the difference.

Bump that H265 up to the 25-30GB range and it is much harder to tell the difference. I normally want it as good as the original. H265 encodes that I cannot distinguish original from copy - typically save about 25 to 40% of the space (not the 75% so many like to claim).

Doesn't have to be 14 TB. Nowhere near that actually.

Those small encodes aren't going to have good HD audio codecs included either

Can anyone share what tool they use to copy large amounts of data from one drive to the next? Obviously Windows Copy/Paste is likely to fail. Way back when, I used to use SyncToy, but that program is dead.

There are up to 22tb drives (internal) but I think externals are only up to 14tb for WD.

This is the best TB for the $$ though, at $13.50 a TB!
Best Buy has 16tb and 18tb WD externals for sale on their site.
