Sure thing. Just spread some rep if you can Wink

Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.

It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).

Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.

I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.

Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

I looked into this and general consensus is that this WILL NOT work. Most Costco employees online are saying they are told not to honor price adjustments for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and sales for items purchased beforehand. Of course, you can risk it but there isn't any guarantee you will get the price adjusted (most said if the item goes out of stock, Costco will definitely not price adjust).

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.

Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

Why this is better than the Monoprice 35"? Thanks.
I get flickering on it. This screen looks to be of better quality, better brightness, does HDR, and is 144hz.

Just picked up a Gigabyte UW from Best Buy, how does this Acer compare? Might be worth it just for Costco's policies.

Would this be more than perfect for a Series X down the road? Or should I look for a full 4k model? If I don't need this much for a console lemme know. Will also be working 9-5 with the monitor too.

Is this worth extra $50 compare to Samsung ultrawide 34inch(s34j55) i just bought from Costco even if I don't play games. Should I return it and get this one instead?

I'm in the same boat. They seem practically identical.

For productivity, you can't beat an ultrawide like this. It's incredible.

Look into Xbox Series X supporting Ultrawide resolutions though. I doubt most games will implement it.

You might be better off with a large 4k 144hz monitor.

For the curious, I wanted to know how this would work with nVidia:
Quote :
All AMD GPUs starting with the 2nd iteration of Graphics Core Next support FreeSync.
NVidia 10-series, 16-series and 20-series GPUs with driver version 417.71 or higher support FreeSync.

Just to be clear Nvidia's 10, 16 and 20 series support FreeSync but how well it'll work depends on the monitor. Some work perfect while others flicker or blink while some won't work at all. I believe they have a list of tested monitors and I can't speak for this monitor.

I am wondering the same thing. This seems to be a new model. Cannot find other useful informaton. According to my experience, it won't be office g-sync compatible unless stated for Acer, AOC, Gigabytes.

So buy twice? If cannot price match then return the monitor and buy again during the holiday?
