Sure thing. Just spread some rep if you can Wink

Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.

It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).

Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.

I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.

Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

I looked into this and general consensus is that this WILL NOT work. Most Costco employees online are saying they are told not to honor price adjustments for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and sales for items purchased beforehand. Of course, you can risk it but there isn't any guarantee you will get the price adjusted (most said if the item goes out of stock, Costco will definitely not price adjust).

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.

Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

I'm trying to buy my cousin a monitor for his new gaming setup. I don't game at all nor I have any knowledge of what would be the best. I know he is getting An nvidia card, I believe the 3070 so wanted to know if this would be good for that setup or if there is a better monitor at this price point or below that would serve his needs.

I think the issue is Costco possibly running out of stock on Cyber Monday.
Costco does not base the price adjustment on stock availability. If it sells for a lower price within 30 days, they will give you back the difference.

how this Acer compare to the LG one on costco? the LG 35" WQHD is just $50 more when it start on sale at Nov 20.
LG:
https://www.costco.com/lg-35%22-c...95387.html
Brightness 300cd/m² for LG and 400cd/m² for ACER
Response and refresh rate seems better too on ACER

A 3070 would be a great card for this monitor. It will easily push high frames on several intensive games running 1440p.

Hi all, i dont play game much but i need a good and big monitor for programming/coding and plus video editing. I searched and most websites recommend 4k monitor. So should i wait for big 4k monitor deal at least 34" and up OR buying 2 4k 27-32" monitor OR get this monitor which is 1440p (this s very good monitor for price). By the way, there is 35" LG 1440p will be on sale too. Thank you for your suggestion.

See my post #64. I own the 32" non ultrawide version (another Costco carry). I think it's the same panel in the ultrawide since most of the specs are exactly the same (144hz, VA, 400 nits, HDR 400, curved).

I have a older RX 580 8gb gpu (and overclocked slightly) and I can run Modern Warfare/Cold War (beta) just fine at 1440p at high settings and get 80fps via AMD sync (both monitor and gpu support it).

Ultra widescreen is only extra pixels and only on the horizontal pane so the RX580 and variants shouldn't have any major issue pushing 1440p easily.

coding and programming you can do on any old monitor. best would be with blue light filter or eye care monitor imo.

video editing, 4k ips flat panel s your best bet. link to 32" LG 32UD99W. its preference, but curved annoys me during photo/video edits. also the distortion at the toward the edges bug me.

good rgb. hdr10. good knit 350.

u can probably use a 4k TV if you have good enough video card.

Curious. what graphic quality are you using to get 1440p and 80 fps?
i thought older generation cards were 1080p @1440.

TIA

ok,. Just got off the phone with Costco rep.

1) Costco will do urlhasbeenblocked when monitor goes on sale on 11/30.
2) you have to fill out the price adjustment form online (via the link on their website) and this is to be done when the promo start i.e. Nov 30
3) Even if monitor gets sold out , the system will still reflect the discounted price (just a out of stock link). Hence price adjustment will still be honored.

And worst case, box it up and return it at your local Costco Store and get full refund. In case, there are better deals by then.

Hope this clears things up a bit.

Mix of high/low settings ingame. From my own experience, performance (in terms of fps) was almost the same with both MW and Cold War (beta).
