Yeah, this predator is on my short list when I decide to pull the trigger. Goes on sale a few times a year at this price. Cheapest I've seen it is $649.
Personally think 2X Wen 56200i (1600/2000W) inverters for $720 is the better deal (no tax most states, free shipping). This deal will be around the same price with tax and isn't nearly as versatile
A friend uses this often for the last two years on food truck with no issues. He bought the warranty and he does cover new replacement, but I think when you get new one you'd have to purchase another warranty. If it's constant use, I'm sure it's worth it, and he never needed a replacement yet. I bought the sams club 2000w for $300 two months back and haven't opened it yet since my need would really be for charging devices and refrigerator only, or heater in winter if necessary.
Another option is the Honda EB or EG series for around $1050, but I think those were around 2800 max watts.
Can somebody please confirm that this inverter/generator will be enough for a gas furnace and 25 cubit feet fridge, a few lights, and a computer/TV? Also I assume a transfer switch is needed to make use of these generators, correct?

The 3500 is rated pretty good at Consumer Reports and other sites.

buy the extended warranty via HF and if you have issues use the warranty for a replacement.
The next step up to the 7000 watt range is the $1076 Champion 8750-Watt Open Frame Inverter

This inverter is safer for electronics than the larger ones. This offer spire sine waves. The regular generator delivers dirtier power.

Biggest deal breaker why I want a champion is their one of the few that can do 240v power, most only 120v including this deal

And also the Predator series are considered best in their price class (not as good as Honda, but also literally 1/3 the cost)

Do you have a link to the Costco one?
