I've printed maybe 500 pages over the past 3 years and still haven't changed the ink yet. Bought two generic refills from amazon for $25 for eventual replacements. Highly recommend this printer.

Can't seem to find many reviews demonstrating the app.

Can you scan directly into your phone and/or OneDrive or Google Drive?
I didnt use to care about that stuff but now i love not going through my computer to quickly scan docs.

After a quick google search [absolutetoner.com], unlike the more recent Brother Monochrom SD deals, the good news is that the Single Cartridge System for this printer combines the toner and drum into 1 unit, making replacement of cartridges simple. Not sure about the prevalence of third party toner cartridges though... I'll let someone else take the mantle on that Smilie


Edit: Making sure everyone knows I'm not advising anyone buy that specific $29 third party toner as I have no idea how it performs. I used it as the basis for my above statement as it was the first site that came came up when I randomly googled this [google.com]..

Yes monochrome only prints in black. Used a lot in more office like settings.

I have this printer, yes you can initiate scan with the app and open and save the pdf in other apps such as Dropbox. This is a great printer for $100. I've been very pleased with it.
