I've been doing different combos and the circular is the best price. Come to 209 before taxes. I wanted to see if you can hack the deal. If you need the grease gun, you can do store pick or shipping. Make sure you have the shipped you keep and the store will refund your store pickup if you don't actaully pick it up.

OR if you want the kit without the EXTRA tool for the low price of 142 before taxes, don't pick up the grease

If you don't care about the free tool then adding the grease gun to the deal makes the tool kit only $142.50 and then you can cancel/return the grease gun.

They had a deal 2 years ago for the holidays with the same tools, but had a 3.0Ah HP battery instead of one of the 2.0 regulars, and you got 2 free tools. Same initial price, slowly decreased slightly after Christmas was over. That was an absolute steal.

Edit: scratch that, didn't pay close enough attention. That deal was drill, impact driver, and circular saw, and different free tool options. I chose the brushless reciprocating saw and a 2pack of the 4Ah batteries. If only deals were that good this year...

Yes, the final $159 with two free tools (from a much larger selection) version of that deal was one of the best Ryobi deals we have ever seen here. I bought multiple sets. Here is a link. Was this the most upvoted deal to never make FP?

That said, this deal is pretty good. If you get the circular saw for total $209 you are essentially getting the other deal (at one of the intermediate prices) with a recip saw and P705 light as the free tools and one battery downgraded from 3Ah HP (which you really want for the saws and other high power tools).

The band saw and grease gun seem like good free tool options which don't go on sale much (and are often over the free tool $ limit). As much as I like that circular saw you can probably find it on another HD sale or on Craigslist.

This seems less of a deal than the 5 (real) tool DeWALT for $300.

4 Ryobi tools plus a light for $70 less doesn't seem that great. You also get(2) 2ah batteries instead of the 2Ah + 4Ah with the DeWALT set.

The only advantage with this Ruyobi kit is choosing to get a brushless Ryobi circ saw over the brushed DeWALT one.

I suppose this is a decent deal if you are already in the Ryobi ecosystem or if you can hack it to get the 3 tools + light for the $143 mentioned above.

Yes and yes. The P197 is probably a little better than the P108, but both work well with the reciprocating saw (and circular saw if that is your free tool choice). And you really want something higher capacity and higher maximum draw than the 2Ah batteries for those tools.

The P705 light does not get much love on Slickdeals, but I like mine and use it often. Just remember it is only a $20 or so tool when evaluating package value.
