Anyone hear about CX having issues with PS5 and the new XBox? I convinced a buddy to get an OLED and he sent me this article.

https://www.notebookcheck.net/VRR...464.0.html
This issue with VRR black-to-gray gamma problems affect all TVs including LCD's, it's just much more apparent with OLEDs because it's able to produce true blacks.

CX just came out late last year. Do you mean a different model?
Oh, probably. I bought their cheapest OLED model and vaguely remember it's C-something.

Great TV! I'm not ready for sound bar yet. Is the model that has good internal speakers?

Anyone know how to get the Xboom? I'm not seeing details or mentions on it anywhere.

EDIT: Found the Xboom:

It's ok. Just like any other boom tube. Takes 2-3 weeks to get it

Sound from the tv is pretty damn good on it's own even without a soundbar. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound.

I actually turned down the bass lot. The tv has a hell of a lot of bass. I like it but not trying to hear deep bass all the time. Especially when I have a migraine.

Didn't really check out the article but the two main issues are vrr related. Basically the persistent grays and flickering issue for games with lot of dark areas.

This is because of how oleds work. According to Vincent (YouTuber), these issues are probably not going to be fixed as oleds and the current panels inherently are unfixable for this.

Although, LG has been good with updates on these models, so they might try to alleviate the issue through some alternate means.

Personally, spending this much to beta test these tvs and hdmi 2.1 isn't for me. I am in the process of returning mine as I already had burn-in concerns with the kind of games I tend to play. Will wait for the next year models to see how they handle these issues.

Negativity aside, this is the best picture quality in any TV that I have ever seen.

Yeah I might end up returning mine as well, it's still in the box. I was really looking forward to it. I'm not worried about burning, I had my C7 for 3 years (5k hours)
What would you suggest in the meantime to support next gen consoles or just get something cheap until they can get this fixed next year hopefully?

What do you expect from 1st gen hardware? People post over and over " I want this TV because its HDMI2.1, its future proof, etc." In reality it is not, its beta hardware. Most people on here dont even really need HDMI2.1, they just want to say they have the latest and greatest.

From Costco after deducting 2% for executive member + 2% from citi costco card, you are looking at $1775. With costco deal you also get $100 hulu credit, 7 years warranty (1 year from LG, 1 year from costco, 3 years from allstate, and 2 years from citi card), which the last 2 years from citi card does not exclude burn in.

I think it is a no brainer to go with costco.

I could find a group share to lower the cost of Hulu to 1/4th easy. Meh.

Paying $4 for Netflix right now...
$4 Netflix? Could you please fill me in on this?
