In case it isn't clear, you get the XBOOM with any authorized retailer purchase of the CX. Costco deal with 5 year warranty and $100 Hulu credit competes very well with this deal.

Got it from Costco so I think I have 90 days, if rather return it while it's still sealed .Which Samsung would you suggest for about the same price if I wanted to go away from OLED?
It doesn't have to be sealed to return to Costco. I returned a cx cuz the price went down. Chatted online and they said they didn't price match. A8h deal came out. So I returned the cx. Cashier said that he can talk to the manager about price adjusting. But since I had already I mounted carried and driven the tv there. I said no. They could've just told me that online.

Not only do they price match online, the website specifically says they do.... I'd have just sent the chat person a link to their own policy.

It seems like I (entirely accidentally) bought from costco at the exact best time- they were running both the promo for the free speaker AND a set of free wireless earbuds and the 5 year warranty free when I bought.... then a bit later the Hulu and $200 price drop (this was the 55") happened, so I chatted online and got a $215 refund, AND put my serial # in at the Hulu promo website and got that too.

I just bought a 65 RCA at Walmart for 230. Tics all the boxes for the PS5. Very similar picture to this LG OLED
If you think the picture is "very similar" then you made the right choice for youself.

Already have the OLED65C9 in my living room. Fantastic TV. Have been considering the Sammy Q80T for the bonus room (where the PS4 currently is and PS5 will reside one day). The OLEDCX is about as next-gen console ready as you can get. Is there a better TV for bonus room for playing PS5 and watch 4k movies?

Yeah, but the RCA doesn't come with the XBOOM speaker.

They only price adjust after 30 days. I was on day 60. But could return after 90 days. Pretty dumb policy. In the end it's for the best. I paid less than this for the A8H and enjoy the PQ. CX looks too airbrushed to me. The A8H has more detail. Specially in faces.

You may want to consider what you want out of the tv. If its picture quality go with CX. If options are more important stick with the Android tv. Ive seriously been debating sending this back and going with an Android tv again because of the option issues. Hard decision though because of the incredible picture with the CX.

The picture is great on the CX. I have had the 65 for a month.

Other than the picture I'm extremely disappointed. The options are crap.

Like picture in picture (pip) for instance. One screen has to be the LG web browser for pip to work. You cant watch two different tv channels from two different sources. That was a big thing that disappointed me. Why in the hell would I constantly want to have the LG web browser up? I enjoy watching pip with a different channel like with sports for instance. No dice with the LG. Basically pip doesn't exist on the LG with two tv channels. Android tvs Ive had pip actually worked.

Another thing is they jumbled all the coaxial channels from cable company together with the LG web channels with no way to find where the cable channels are located except by watching each channel and finding out which channel is which except by writing them down on a piece of paper. There is no way to name the channels so writing each channel location down is the only option for my coaxial cable channels.

They should've kept the LG web channels separate from cable tuner channels on different source locations not together. Almost all the channels though coaxial display no information. Its a mess with the channel locations moved to no particular order. No problems through hdmi. Ive always hooked up coaxial also specifically for pip or to watch a channel if my dvr is recording different channels. Never had this problem with Android tvs.

Last LG proprietary issues make certain apps banned. Like ESPN app for those that watch UFC. They even banned the ESPN+ section of ESPN from the LG web browser. The app is one thing but from the web browser?

This tv was supposed to be able to replace my Firestick. Not happening with the proprietary issues.

The proprietary issues aren't going to change. Been going on for years with LG and a lot of complaints from users have gone nowhere. However LG could fix the other issues I mentioned with a software update if they care enough about it but I seriously doubt it is going to happen. Especially with the 2021 models being released soon.

I haven't tested this myself but Ive read some threads with people stating they have done testing on the 2.1 ports and some are stating they aren't really 2.1 and having issues with them using them as monitors for high end pcs. Google it if you want to read up on it.
I can't believe they don't have the ESPN app. You just saved me from having an incredibly frustrating discovery! I love my TCL 6 series Roku TV (2018) but I'm looking for something with better picture. Specifically for watching football. Fast action moving across the screen gets blurry so I want to get out of the budget range and upgrade to something a bit better. I was about to pull the trigger on this until I saw your post. Guess it's back to rtings I go!

I have the CX for several years now. I don't use LG's interface and its remote which has an on-screen pointer. Very cumbersome. But somehow the same app (like Netflix or HBO) produces better picture when using the build-in app from the TV vs connecting through an external player like Roku or Fire TV.
I have the 2018 C8 and it's the same way, the Netflix, Amazon interfaces just looked so much more clean and sharp through the built-in app. The picture itself looked better out of the box too but after tuning in the picture settings I was able to get my Roku and now FireTV to look just as good. Deep blacks, vibrant and bright colors, just a friggin' gorgeous picture.
