Not sure what the expiration is for these but they won't last half a year at most from the bags I've looked at. The ones I've seen from stores like Walgreens and CVS expire as soon as January 2021.... makes me wonder if they've been storing the candy because I remember chocolate candy having a longer expiration date...

There is a difference between expiration date and best by/use by dates.

Has anyone eaten expired chocolate and gotten sick? It might not taste as good but it probably lasts long after expiration date if sealed

I had some 5 year old vacuum sealed cashews the other day and they were fine.
Just freeze it and eat when needed unless it's looks like white chocolate and eat it all.

I have always had success putting box or bagged candy in the freezer. Hold up great and the flavor doesn't change in my opinion.

Agree. However, I do stick any bulk candy I get in the freezer and take a piece out at a time. Just the other day I ate a 2017 Valentine's Reese's and it tasted just fine.
