This is a great deal.

I have slightly older Dell U2417H, and bought the AOC last time. Colors were really washed away. I went back to my Dell which is smaller and 1080p. I'd only get the AOC if you were wanting a single monitor setup or on a budget.

I thought the $100 gift card directly from Dell was only an egiftcard (not a mastercard)?
That is correct.

Apple does NOT support MST. Dell docks, even with DisplayLink will not output extended desktop to dual monitors. The MacBook will mirror the desktop. It's really annoying.
This is false. My wife uses the Dell D6000 with her MacBook Pro everyday with her triple monitor setup.

Yeah, that does look like a much better deal. Higher resolution and screen size. Both IPS and AOC has slightly higher Hz.

Agree. Have both sizes and I like the 27" better. 24" is not bad but 27" just feels better and easier to look at all day.

But does she daisy chain them? i.e., cable from laptop to monitor 1, then cable from monitor 1 to monitor 2, then cable from monitor 2 to monitor 3. That's the kind of setup pablo is talking about, and it requires MST (multi-stream transport), which Mac does not support.

Aoc is bad... they are so cheap and flimsy my air purifier would move the screen. It's possible mine was defective I can't even believe how sorry the monitor was before I returned it.

Remind me how a 1080p resolution at 24 in could ever be called Ultra Sharp. 🤡

AOC is not a "no-name" brand and makes some fantastic gaming monitors at a fraction of the cost of the overpriced competitors. Many of their displays rate higher than the big names now.

Not sure what model you have but sounds like a troll post. I've owned just about every big name gaming monitor and I prefer my AOC 32" 1440p 144hz 1ms curved to them all, with the exception of my 27" 1440p ultrasharp that I use photo editing.

The Dell D6000 is a triple monitor dock. Each monitor is connected directly to the dock, and not daisy chained. I use a PC, and daisy chain my U2417H.

you'll need a thunderbolt to dual hdmi/displayport adaptor for Macbook. This will set you back around $75. The cheap ones will only duplicate your display.

Why does Apple make an iPad Air and MacBook Air, when they're both clearly heavier than air? 🤡

I love my 24" 1080p Ultrasharps. I would like to upgrade, but don't know if I would see any benefit, to be honest.

How is the 27" D2721H Dell monitor for $100 not a better deal than this? Genuinely curious. Specs are nearly identical, except the 27s are larger screens for $60 less (assuming you buy 2): https://www.officedepot.com/a/pro...tor-VVMFF/

Okay, so pablo's opening statement is accurate (Mac doesn't support MST), though what they go on to say about Dell docks isn't quite right. I was just trying to set the record straight on your "this is false" statement so folks trying to learn from this thread don't get confused. 👍 No harm, no foul.

Or get two separate ones for around $12 apiece. That's been working fine for me.
