I got the m15 after missing the g14 sale by a day.

My only 2 complaints are:

1, that it doesn't have the metal body the G14 has,

2, that the fans are pretty loud when the temperatures start to get up high while gaming.

I absolutely love this laptop otherwise. For basic web browsing and such, I'm getting 6-8 hours of usable time per charge.

I also do music production and graphic design and this thing can handle some really heavy projects without an issue ON BATTERY, which is a major upgrade from my previous Dell G5 15 (only 2 years old) that would throttle like crazy from heat if I tried to do anything. Also, the 240hz screen is GORGEOUS. Going from a 60hz screen that covered like 60% of the sRGB spectrum to one that's Pantone validated to cover 100% of sRGB at 240hz is just beautiful. It makes me feel spoiled even when I'm just writing emails, and extremely immersed when I game.
1080 is enough on a 15 inch screen. You won't see pixels unless you are very close to the screen
Wow i was literally just looking at this on best buy and i got this alert. Thats a sign. Im getting it

Nice and Tempting. Should I wait for better price on G14?

Thanks for the great points.

My main concern is if 1920x1080p is good enough for non-gaming purposes. What do you think?

I have zephyrus G14 R9 2060 currently and I can still return this to BB. I wanna replace my G14 to this M15. Is it worth to do?

This is what I am thinking
Pros : bigger screen, better GPU, thunderbolt port, colored keyboard
Cons : plastic body, heavier and bigger, cost little bit more

Very tempting. Anyone know the wattage on this particular 2070 max q?

I have both and G14 feels very solid and compact but gets extremely hot. After about 30min- 1hr of playing CoD, A S D keys get pretty hot where its uncomfortable and W key is way too hot where I cant hold it down for too long so I am going to return G14 Unfortunately. If I didn't need to game I would stick to G14.

M15 is great all around. Just bit bigger and has bit more plastic feeling. Also the monitor on M15 is buttery smooth.

Pretty sure the 2070 max q isn't much faster than a normal 2060. I remember looking into it and thinking it was a waste of money.

Doesn't mean this laptop isn't a good deal but I have seen a lot of 2060 deals for much less.

Fyi, G14 is equipped with 2060 max-q and from my exp, M15 was getting about 10-15 more frames than G14. I was also able to get an open box excellent condition m15 for $1100.

I purchased this during the first sale and I love it. I did some tweaking and the cpu temps stay at 88-89 with a small foldable riser. The gpu has been mid 80s. I can check again because this is just glancing at armory crate once and awhile. This is on Jedi Fallen Order maxed out and watch dogs legion on high with Ray tracing enabled. So far I love this machine. It's pretty light imo but not a ultra light. The body doesn't bother me too much. I wish the rgb keys could be set individually but asus has great armory crate features. There's an annoying keyboard firmware update that no one can seem to install at the moment also. 2.4.8 I believe? Fans are loud on max settings but I just use headphones for a better experience when I can.

Either way this machine for the price imo is a great buy. If you want better processing I'd go for the ryzen 9 with graphics slightly lower frame rates and smaller screen. The g14 is Ultra portable. For me I wanted the best bang for you buck laptop and this delivers so far. I have until January to decide if I keep it or not.
