I have a few denied trade in with them.
One of the denied device was said to not have been reset.
This was a brand new Moto E phone for $10 I bought from Wal-Mart just for the trade in.
I would take pictures and videos of your device if doing trade in with Samsung.
But in your case it's a big risk as your phone is really defective phone.
My trade in was for something like $250 off for trade in, so I was to pay then $250. Many of us had long fight with Samsung. They try to pass the buck to third party trade in center.
