Are they going to provide 1099 or something similar?
I earned $300 from Chase Bank a few years ago and was charged for it during tax filing time that year.

The point is they want customers with regular monthly deposits, not those who do a one time personal money transfer to qualify.
To add, direct deposit is a form of ACH. But unlike an ACH transfer between personal accounts, it's not the same. A direct deposit is an institutional deposit. An ACH transfer between personal accounts is not.
