was going to wait for Costco, but this deal is just as good.

Samsung VA panel technology with Quantum Dot Color technology delivers a wider gamut of colors, enhanced contrast, and a quick response time. VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification satisfies the display industry's standard for true 8-bit image quality, peak luminance of 400cd/m2, higher contrast ratio, and a wider color gamut.

you do know that literally every single monitor that specifies a "1ms" response rate only applies to Gray-to-Gray right? If you're playing anything in color it's just gonna be 4ms, likely more, anyways.
+3ms isn't gonna make you suck any less at Fortnite broski
They are both 4ms gray to gray. The 1ms VRB is their marketing into making you think its 1ms gtg....

this seems to be a better monitor than acer monitor from Costco

Has anyone dealt with monoprice returns before? Do you know if they're easy to work with? Any idea on the warranty or the dead pixel policy?

Cannot go wrong with either one. Except for the Costco return policy beats monoprice.

I've had pretty good experience with Monoprice. Surprisingly so. I also have the similar Acer monitor, with which I'm happy for my office and graphics, but not gaming needs. If I were in the market for one, I would be in for this one.

I am looking to get some ultrawide 1440p 144hz monitor for less than $500 (preferably less than $450). I read few reviews in Amazon for acer and some other brands in this price segment, and saw people complaining about ghosting. Can someone tell me if this has same issue? Or suggest me something for me. I could wait for sales, I am not in a rush for a monitor.

They're probably complaining about "smearing" if those ones on Amazon are VA like this one (mainly with dark colors). Panels are getting a little better every year but that is one thing that VAs just struggle with. Especially annoying when you're playing a stealth game and you're moving around in the shadows and such. I just couldn't stand it. I'd wait for a fast IPS ultrawide goes on sale, personally.

I know Newegg has an AWFUL reputation regarding returns and customer service. Not sure if/how that changes since this is sold and shipped by Monoprice (through Newegg). From my brief findings, Monoprice will generally accept returns for any reason within 30 days. They make it very clear that buyer pays return shipping (not cheap for these big monitors). Not sure if they'll pay for shipping if the monitor is defective, but I'm finding at least a few accounts of people having defective monitors and still having to pay for return shipping...

I have this monitor, but I bought it direct from monoprice. It's a good monitor for the price and I really like it. No dead pixels for me.

This is a great deal OP. I hope my monitor arrives in one piece because these customer service posts are scary.

I went with the 1800R 35" Zero-G deal posted last night because it tested at 378nits luminance (300 on spec sheet) **sooo close to displayHDR certification** only 22 less than this one, and also supports roughly the same quantum color ability as this. Advantage to this unit because it can go up and down (not a problem for me as i am vesa mounting) and 144hz vs 100hz(simulated faux 120hz advertising)

1800R is a more ideal curvature for me at 21:9, $50 saved, and 1 inch bigger. Win win win.

1 inch always makes a difference 😅

It doesn't list response time. Is it truly 1ms or 4ms garbage?
