Just an FYI, this was posted yesterday on reddit:

Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.

So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

tbh that's interesting that they claim to track imei now, as you can freely swap sims on devices without issue. i have a feeling they arent tracking imeis tbh. only verizon was doing that iirc and it was just for the activation of the sim, and from there you could put it in another device. it'll probably work, what you're suggesting. (worst case put the sim in another burner phone first but i dont think they care)

Will this work if you already have a starter kit, but NOT yet activated.
