The delivery driver is the last hope to protect the company from price mistakes. Once the customer alerted him to the mistake the driver should have scanned the item and then told the customer it was the wrong serial number and put it back on the truck. He could have saved the company some serious money. Defiantly would have gotten him noticed by upper management.
That sounds honorable and all but I can assure you it would not have been noticed by upper management. What would have been noticed is the fact they would have pissed off a customer by lying about an item they just brought to their address. Amazon expects drivers to deliver what is put on the trucks and not assume if a customer should actually get an item or not. Now if a driver wanted to call it in to dispatch to give a heads up sure, but it isn't going to get them a leg up with Amazon. All of the Amazon drivers around here work for 3rd party delivery services anyways that Amazon helped set up so not even part of Amazon.
So the sound bar was cancelled but the tv still shows as ordered, but not shipped. And I'm now outside of the 9AM-12PM window where it was supposed to be delivered today. I also haven't been charged as of yet. What are my chances that this goes through? Also I'm in South Florida, if that matters. I understand there may be some Amazon warehouses somewhere around here.
Any advice? Should I try changing the payment method or reschedule the delivery?
I am in same spot. In north Florida and no payment debited nor any shipment on tv. Wondering why no cancelation yet. Option to change delivery isn't there either. My window was today 12-3pm.
Am thinking to just leave it as is for now and see what happens.
