I think this is my first hot deal post, could be wrong, but don't remember the last one Wave

I believe this is a great deal. I was looking for an inverter due to Hurricane Eta, and was pleasantly to surprised to find these marked down, considerably! These are modified sine wave, not true sine wave, so not the cream of the crop, but they should do the job.

I ordered a few of these, online, for in-store pickup. The tags in the store said a higher price, but they ring up at these prices (at least in my area, Florida)

Schumacher 410 Watt/820 Peak Watt Power Converter [advanceautoparts.com]
Regular Price $56.99
Sale Price $11.45

Schumacher 750 Watt Power Converter [advanceautoparts.com]
Regular Price $89.99
Sale Price $18.05

Schumacher 1000 Watt Power Inverter [advanceautoparts.com]
Regular Price $109.99
Sale Price $22.05

Schumacher 1500 Watt Power Inverter [advanceautoparts.com]
Regular Price $179.99
Sale Price $36.05

Schumacher 2000 Watt Power Converter [advanceautoparts.com]
Regular Price $267.99
Sale Price $53.65

Cheers & Merry Early Xmas

About pure vs modified: all inverters at this price point are going to be modified. Some motors/transformers may buzz and be less efficient, but any modern electronics won't care (since their adapters all eventually produce DC).

About cigarette lighter vs wired: to get more than 150w, you need hard wire. It's not the inverters fault, it's that cigarette lighters are usually fused at 15a, maybe 20a, which limits your draw to 12v * 15a = 180w before you blow your car's fuse.

About mini fridge: you'll be just fine. You won't hurt your battery or car, but you will run it out of power VERY quickly unless you're keeping your cat running.

I used to run guitar amps and a pa system off of a couple of the larger ones connected to car batteries in the middle of corn fields

I picked up a 1500 watt inverter for my truck for 40 dollars, 150 watt starting at a little better than 6 dollars. It looks like it's limited to store stock.

What is safe to run on these for a standard car battery without damaging the battery, car electronics? Would a mini fridge be too much?

What are some good use cases for these, primarily for the larger wattage ones? Thanks!

looks like some plug into cig lighter and others (larger ones) hook directly to car battery making install a little more difficult...check your vehicle before ordering
