U do realize that in tropical countries, Wifi, Netflix and TV watching is a luxury right? In most islands, if u get shitty Wifi, that's considered a high luxury.

Honestly if you've got $30k to blow, you can go somewhere in Mexico or Thailand or the like and get a REALLY nice place for $1k/mo (or a nice place for $300-500/mo), get 9 month visas and live much cheaper and have an option for longer visas without having to do 30d visas back and forth to the other side of the planet. Plus cost of living is going to be much cheaper, with no limit on how many people can stay in your residence.

Or you can just go to San Fran and leave there for free in a tent.

While this is a nice deal probably I would highly not recommend it if you actually have to WORK from home. I used to work from various places when I could work 4 hours a day, but there is nothing more disappointing than looking outside the window seeing beautiful days pass by while you are in zoom meetings all day in your pajamas.

I personally don't mix work and leisure anymore and disconnect all means of my communication while on vacay. I'd take 1 month of vacay vs 6 months WFH on Maldives.
