You are on the wrong website. You need to move along and visit SlickCraigsBayer.com. Congrats, you just bragged about the little beer money you just earned and robbed opportunities for 8 people who could have actually use these TVs

This is probably better than the Hisense, but not by much. Rtings has reviews on previous models on both. The Samsung is definitely not worth $250 more. I'd say the only upgrade from these that would be worth it would be a TCL 6 series or the comparable midrange Hisense.

I have a TCL 6 series, Hisense from BB, and Onn from Walmart. The 6 series is noticeably better than the other two but not by a massive margin. The Hisense and Onn are almost identical in terms of image quality.

It's insane to me that they can sell quality 4k 65" TVs for this price. Like seriously, the Hisense and Onn look unbelievable for the price.

Still buy it and don't connect it to network. Problem solved.
But not having a network connection takes away big features of a "smart" tv. Of course, we can add a set top box / stick to add the smart features, but that's an extra cost...

I know what you mean, this TCL thing is a complete different level, no exaggeration here
They could put a little Chinese dude in there to control the volume for all I care.

Has anyone been able to prove that they're the same product? Chat rep is telling me that they're different...

Pull right from there website.. Price matches and adjustments to competitors will not be allowed for prices valid from Thanksgiving Day through the entire week after Thanksgiving.
And? This isn't a competitors product. Buy and pick up, you'll get the PM

ive never been fond of smart tvs... i always feel the internals wouldnt be powerful enough to run a tv and stream content from things like kodi..

im still rocking a old school fire tv that runs kodi strictly.

You are ignorant about security. For example, passwords, accounts can be collected, malware/ransomware can be inserted and spread among all your network connected devices, or other exploits that most of us don't know about. Any of this can occur over time

different level than this?
https://time.com/5568815/amazon-w...-to-alexa/ [time.com]

there are plenty of other examples like Amazon devices, including some major brands smart surveillance camera.
Not gonna dispute the practice done by Amazon, it's bad.
Reason it's really bad on TCL side is not that they take screenshot or sell your usage behavior for profit or other reason, (on technical side: they have a web server running on a non-standard port and publishes the whole file system... seriously why?) What's worse is after contacted by these security/hacker group for a long time, they silently plugged the hole without any consent/ prompt and NOT EVEN A FIRMWARE VERSION CHANGE. The kind of backdoor they have there is crazy.
Now this is not a "who's the worst contest", I'm sure you can pick some other comparison/ analogy whether it's comparable or not, I just want to let people know this is not your standard LG/ Samsung sell your information level, way different when you are comparing in TV category. I'd argue Google Nest/ Alexa are slightly different category...

I got the tv and I am dieing to pop it open. Only thing is the price adjustment. I payed full price and keeping it in the box till Sunday. After everything I'm reading here. The price adjustment should happen no problem on Sunday. Just have to message the target rep. Question is should I open the box and set up the tv or wait till Sunday just in case

In for one. Ordered last night when inventory refreshed at my local store. Tried with chat and phone call but will not price match until Sun. I screenshot my chat so I have documentation and have a case/reference # both in chat and from phone call so pretty confident they'll match when the time is right. The phone rep did say something about a pricematch blackout from thanksgiving on to some point....but since I have already bought and will be pricematching before then, i"m not overly concerned.

Perfect timing for my 40somthing inch bedroom old Vizio to go bad. This 65" can replace the living room tv that will move into the bedroom.

with that extra cost is still going to be cheaper than buying other brand's lower end 65" TV.

not sure about this one but my experience with lower-end TV's built in smart features is like the UI lags as heck anyway.

that's if all of your other devices are unsecured/hackable.

Sweet. What is the ransom for a $230 TV? I'm guessing $74.63.

You may want to if just to check to make sure it works and whatnot. From the pictures in the reviews some people have had some issues with streaking and messed up pixels. Then reorder if you need to replace it before stock runs out.

I thought I was the only one who thought this way. A Roku Ultra is night and day in speed over these TV's built-in OIS. Worth it to me.
