You are on the wrong website. You need to move along and visit SlickCraigsBayer.com. Congrats, you just bragged about the little beer money you just earned and robbed opportunities for 8 people who could have actually use these TVs

This is probably better than the Hisense, but not by much. Rtings has reviews on previous models on both. The Samsung is definitely not worth $250 more. I'd say the only upgrade from these that would be worth it would be a TCL 6 series or the comparable midrange Hisense.

I have a TCL 6 series, Hisense from BB, and Onn from Walmart. The 6 series is noticeably better than the other two but not by a massive margin. The Hisense and Onn are almost identical in terms of image quality.

It's insane to me that they can sell quality 4k 65" TVs for this price. Like seriously, the Hisense and Onn look unbelievable for the price.

And not all 'cheap' TVs will break down in 1 year. I have a no-name 40" 1080p from 2013 and it still works great, picture is bright, no dead pixels, nothing.
That's great, but as long as it's not OLED, it just doesn't matter. If you can accept the quality, that's ok by me. These TV's are not that great i'm sorry.

Been waiting to buy a new TV all year. I still have a crappy 1080p 50 inch Emerson TV I bought for $200 like 5 years ago on black friday. It has served me well. Bought this TV last night (21st) for pickup for $400 at the store in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Was gonna go in today to pick it up and price match it to the black friday price. Then I checked online on at 3:30am (22nd) and it was available for pickup still but at the new price $229.99. I was able to cancel my order from my orders page and rebuy it for the new price. Cant wait to go pick it up. This TV is a steal for $230 you wont find anything much cheaper than this at this size until next year. The android tv sounds cool but I'm assuming at this price it'll be a little sluggish. You get what you pay for i guess. Better processors = more expensive. I'm assuming android tv is pretty lightweight nowadays so I doubt it will be a huge issue. Could care less tho cuz I prefer using chromecast rather than flipping through shows with a million remotes on my couch. I actually just got a Chromecast Ultra 4k with lossless audio support for free with my free stadia premiere kit for being a youtube premium member (thanks google). HDR support is nice to have. 120hz would be cool but it'll be years before we get TVs like that at in this price range so 60hz is good enough for me.

Edit: 4:30am got a text it's ready for pickup πŸ‘Œ

I'm running a 2 year old version of this similar TV (the 4-series) as my main set and it works just fine.

Yes, it's not the $2k OLED set I see in Costco every time I walk in, but at $500 a few years back, my old TCL Roku is still doing great and still is a great deal.

Now getting almost the same TV (but Android OS) for $230!?!? I have low expectations given the cost. Do I want it to function, absolutely. Will I return it if it has bad pixels or other issues pop up, sure.

But black levels, app speed, etc are not even a factor in a purchase like this in my view. It's a budget TV for a reason. If you get in on the deal and you get a unit that is not defective out of the box, enjoy it.

Yeah, it will suck if it dies in 2-3 years. But it was $230. Now I just need Target to not cancel the order I just placed! Looks like they had a ton in the store. Much better than how Walmart's online sales have been going!

wish these were Roku operating systems instead of Android. Yeah i could buy a 4K roku but that defeats the purpose
At $230, the purpose is not defeated.

Android tv is way better than Roku in 2020 not sure if you have been living under a rock or are just not tech savvy
I agree with this statement. Google has recently been promoting their Android TV at trade shows. I see them making another push after some lackluster efforts the past few years.

Brought this TV first time around. Read the concerning 1-star reviews. Can i still add the warranty after purchase? I'm concern with the quality control issues for this TV

Placed an order for store pickup last night online about 3 hours before store closing hoping they would pick order and then I would adjust price when picking up today...but order didn't get picked. Do they pick orders before the store opens this morning or will the horde lined up at the door this morning grab them all before they can pick my order?

Get the roku, more secure. Get the android, the google how to protect yourself with cheap chinese android tv...I heard there was sone security issue recently that the manufacturer is denying but there's way to tempo fix...I don't remember all the details. Google it.
You can just leave the TV disconnected from the internet and throw a $20 Roku on it for streaming if you prefer American CIA spying over Chinese CIA spying. Or go with the new Google Chromecast for some corporate spying. No internet, no security problem.

Personally, I'm more concerned with what the Roku app is vacuuming up from my phone and Google from my Gmail than whether the TCL TV is probing my home network and snitching on my Downton Abby habit.

Yes, you can buy the Allstate insurance separately after the initial purchase.

They start picking before they open I guess because I just got a text at 4:30 am that it was ready for pickup. I placed the order at 3:30 am. Store doesnt open until 7am.

Yes, you can add the Allstate insurance separately. Yes, you can add it later AFTER the purchase. You have 30 days to purchase the insurance and register.
