For anyone debating this versus the new Air, you have to look at the Air the same way you would the Pro. Only true creatives and those looking for the utmost premium experience will see the true value in the Air.

I went with the regular iPad after much debate and don't regret it one bit. After using/owning every level of iPad in the last, having the "cheap" version has its advantages. First being that this design, while some say is outdated, has been in production for so long that many of its quirks have been ironed out. The lack of laminated display also means you won't have costly replacements, nor will you see the level of backlight bleed or bezel pressure points that rough handling can cause issues with.

The screen quality is also excellent for content consumption. The lack of Truetone is my biggest gripe, but you'd only notice the difference comparing it side by side with another model.

I hope some of this info can be helpful to those of you looking. At the end of the day, I would say take one of these and put the extra money into nice accessories.

Thanks for the insight. Placed an order for regular iPad. $200 bucks saved to spend on something else and fun.

It's very similar with the Best Buy Early Access iPad deal for me. $390.53 after tax and shipping - 5% back to my credit card ($19.53) and 2% back on the item pre-tax and shipping with Executive Membership ($7.20). Total of $363.80.

Best Buy probably would have been around $5 less (no shipping) - AMEX $25 off $250 - 1% back on the total charge = around $356.67.

The difference is worth buying from Costco for me. Would probably submit a price adjustment request if there are any further drops for Black Friday and return/rebuy if that doesn't go through.
What credit card gives you 5% cashback at Costco? Don't think it's Discover.

I can't decide whether to hop on this or wait and see if the Air does better than $560 on Black Friday
Have you looked into targets deal for $100 Apple Card + free $20 target gift card deal?
Spend $600 on the Apple Card's, get $120 in target gift cards. Makes it essentially $480ish

My Citi Dividend, which I think is no longer offered and my Chase Freedom Flex via a PayPal Key virtual card number.

Exactly! I don't need one but at $250 or lower I'll definitely snag one for the lowest price of the year basically.
Yeah, I've actually been looking to replace a 2nd gen iPad mini, but I'm hoping to get another 30 off (the 128 gb model) on BF. I hate this years it's BF all month Covid stuff, as it's making it really hard to tell if BF will actually matter, or if this is actually what the iPad deals will be this year.

I assume these prices are in store as well? Shipping to home and store pickup are showing $4.99 charge. I'll probably be there this weekend anyways, anyone confirmed online and in store or just online?
You have to keep in mind that if you buy from online you can request price adjustment online too, if you buy from the warehouse you have go back to one to do it. Some confirm this? I read it online
