You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.
It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.
Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.
back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

Say you are an existing customer and have 2 lines with Cricket. You currently have $70 in your account. If you cancel one of those lines, you will still have the $70 credit in your account.
Now say you have a separate account because of this deal. You pay the $50 for the phone and the $60 for the service. You immediately downgrade that to the $30 plan meaning that the $60 you paid will give you 2 months of phone service.
Now you used your first account to generate a referral code. After the credit goes to the two accounts, $25 on one and $25 on the other, you contact support on your first account and let them know that you have a friend or aunt joining your group plan. And I want to move remaining 2 lines from t-mobile with same offer on iPhone SE. but with another order it shows Error: only two devices per household is allowed.
I have tried another address also but doesn't work. It throws same error.
Is there any workaround for this???
