I'm guessing the eSIM is also locked?
Esim is locked if the phone is locked.

Got my iPhone SE 64GB (Red) today

Comes with iOS 13.7. Model A2275. T-Mobile SIM didn't work on initial activation so I can confirm the carrier lock is active to Cricket.

Activated my service online and the phone with the supplied Cricket SIM. I created my account with the temp password via text and immediately downgraded my plan to the $30 one and applied my referral code.

For those wanting a unlock solution without waiting the 180 days, I updated the phone to the latest iOS 14.2 and now have it working on T-Mobile with a RSIM-15 that I purchased off a seller on eBay for $9.95
Is this the one you bought? https://www.ebay.com/itm/RSIM-15-...SwLSxeuqZg

I assume if you pick any model from the drop down they are all the same rsim?

Received phones today and want to transfer data from existing phone but been stuck on 14.2 update for 6+ hours now. (tried reboot, hard resets) Apple needs to invest more money on their servers, I run into this issue a lot lately on their IOS updates.

Correct. That is the seller I bought from.

Its technically two chips in one. You cut it in half and each can be used on one phone. So its good for two devices.

Also do we have to cancel the plan to stop the monthly charges?

Plan to use this as just ipods for kids

Be wary of ebay seller sdcomputers4less . Multiple people claiming bad port numbers & wont refund even if you have not even been given a number yet. You have been warned!!
Multiple posters have not stated bad port numbers and his numbers worked fine for me.
worked for me

If you like the color red, you're going to like it. I picked the red one and it looks fantastic. Can't say the same for iPhone 12, I've heard its a lighter shade of red where as the iPhone SE is bold red.

Does anyone know if you purchase two phones on different orders and merge them, will you get the $30 back to your payment method or to your account towards bills?

Ok, just want to confirm.

Can I put in my old cricket sim after I activate the phone with the new sim? And the 60days will still count.

I don't think Cricket even knows the word refund exists, I think it will sit as a credit in your account.

Any ideas why verizon port to cricket isnt working? Tried twice, both went to need more information. Physically typed my account and the current password both times.

Is cricket looking fir something else? Both orders my verizon lines got a text notifying of the port and both times canceled by cricket. When i click order status there is nothing to update. Just says they are working with my carrier which is bs.
I got an email says need more info, chatted with cricket says I need porting pin, need to dial #7678 then Verizon will text a link where you can generate the porting pin then give that info to chat agent.
