R-SIM is a SIM card add-on that looks like a really thin SIM card that mounts on top of your nano sim (or below depending on the model) that allows you to bypass the sim lock by hard coding a new ICCID that is unlocked.

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.

It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.

Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

As long as you have an old Sprint SIM card laying around (they're reusable)... and an IMEI from a phone that's compatible with Sprint's network, you can sign up for the $5 service (data only) or if you want to play it safe... $6 service (500mb data, 100 min). Pay for service, enter in IMEI and SIM card info, activate. You'll have instant access to a new phone number, pin to access port out info.

Does anyone know if the version of the iPhoneSE that Cricket provides is the A2275? According to this website, this version allows for the most flexibility to move between carriers: https://swappa.com/blog/unlocked-...ne-se-2020

Here's my experience with this deal today.

Step 1: Bought 4 Boost numbers off of eBay. Placed the order from seller sdcomputers4less and had no issues.

Step 2: Placed 2 orders (2 phones in each order). 1st order is shipped to my address and the 2nd order to my friends address.

Reason: Max 2 phones are allowed per address to take advantage of this deal.

Things to note:

1. On the 2nd order, the I had a billing address mismatch between my Credit card and My friends address. So I used Privacy CV to generate a card for 200$ and placed the 2nd order

2. Don't forget add the 20$ off coupon mentioned by other user. It gives you 2 phones for $ 169.98

3. If you have 2 phones in your order, they only ask you one of the port-in number's account and pin info. After an hour of placing the order, you'll get an email asking you for the Account number of the 2nd number. It asks you enter only the account number. Once you submit that, you'll get another email. When you click on it, it asks for the PIN. If you don't want to wait, just click on the same Update info link you get in the first email again and it'll ask you for the PIN.

Both my orders shipped today itself! 😀

Thanks to all the SDers that answered my questions.

I hope this helps other people looking to take advantage of this deal.
Nice! What's your plan with the 4 phones? Trade them in? Wink

How do you get the unlock countdown that people were talking about for the unlock?
When I click it I just get "Your unlock code is not available. Please call Customer Care at 1-800-274-2538 for assistance." no number of days left mentioned. How were people seeing this ?

Anyway to get the $20 off after ordering the phone? Other than returning and starting over from scratch?

Please add this to the wiki.

I can confirm it's the A2275 model, but just locked to Cricket Wireless for 6 active months.

Nope.. Too late. Not a bad deal overall even without the $20.

In your cricket account under accounting settings -> Unlock Phone - Get code > -> Request Unlock

Countdown timer starts a day after the phone is activated in my experience.

Can you explain the Privacy CC part? Will it create virtual card for any given address?

Ordered today with $40+$5 CB... and verified it registered.

When all is said and done, it should be $112.09 - $45 = $67.09 + port number cost.

After split of $60 prepaid, plus $5 for 3rd month after $25 ref. credit, it will be $72.09 for new phone and about 3 months of service. Great deal!

It'll generate a new CC number and doesn't tie to any address/zip code.

Only thing that sucks is you have to keep the account open for 60 days to get the referral credits.

I plan on trading in the phones, but it would have been nice to be able to have a little credit bank with Cricket if I ever decided to go back to them in the near future.

My second round of iPhones ordered this morning shipped with the address/billing mismatch. I guess I need to go back to Tello and make 2 more numbers.
How do you get your Tello account and PIN #
Do you need to call them?
