Protip: phone numbers don't die as soon as you stop paying, they are "active" for 30-90 days with suspended service if you have a line you have the info you need to port in with. I procrastinated until the last day and I was relieved, but if if you have a spare that just shut down it can work too. If you have the info for a phone with "suspended service" that can be used for the deal too.
REFERRAL CODES: You can get a referral code using one of the many links in the the 2020-08 referral thread in the Reddit Cricket forum, google it. Get the code before your purchase. Enter the code when you activate.
DIFFERENT ACCOUNT NUMBERS FOR PORTED LINES: When you place the order, it will ask for the account number and PIN for only one of the lines you are porting in. If you are porting two numbers, you will get an email ("Important Update") requesting the account number for the second line. According the this post you will then later another email asking for the PIN.

Be wary of ebay seller sdcomputers4less . Multiple people claiming bad port numbers & wont refund even if you have not even been given a number yet. You have been warned!! I bet you don't have the guts to tell people who you are. You just post misleading info here. I bought three numbers from them and all delivered in two hours without any issue to port in.
Multiple posters have not stated bad port numbers and his numbers worked fine for me.
If a number turns out to be inactive or bad, your order will not be shipped. So, it is best to chat with the support after placing order to confirm everything is fine. If the number is bad, then the only solution is cancel the order and place the order again. If you have extra numbers, you can ask the support during chat to cancel the order and then you can place a new order with a new number using the same details you used for your cancelled orders.

Expired, the top is the code that doesn't work anymore. Some users have reported a pop-up offering a "Because its 2020, Take $20 off coupon". The process for getting the pop-up is, you add the iphone to your cart, then go through the checkout process (even enter your porting number information) but at the end dont go through with it. It took about 40 minutes for it to show up the last time I did it today (12/1/2020). When you do get the pop-up, select Apply Coupon, and it will take an additional $20 off. RSIM15 Instructions
This is what worked for me:
I activated Cricket service, set up the phone under my Apple ID, and also updated to the latest iOS. All that with Cricket SIM in tray, as per usual. [Did try to power on the phone for the first time with my preferred carrier's SIM (T-mobile) just to test if the phone comes unlocked but no luck there. It's locked.
To work with your carrier of choice, try RSIM plus carrier's SIM in tray. If you get the pop-up menu, code the ICCID as per instructions. I did not get the menu and was unable to change the ICCID that way.
The workaround was to remove the carrier's SIM and inserted Cricket SIM but with RSIM still in the tray. Then go to "Settings" - "Cellular" - "SIM Applications" - "Edit ICCID" and enter the most recent ICCID number (you can find one here: https://geveystore.com/).
They Gevey Store ICCID is not always up to date. I found the latest ICCID numbers here https://beta.unlockcode
After coding is done, remove Cricket's SIM, insert your carrier's SIM (again, with RSIM still in the tray), and you should be able to register on the carrier's network. I think I needed an extra reboot or two and had to enter Apple ID / Password to proceed.
After the phone connects on your desired carrier, be sure to navigate to Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Network to ensure the APN settings for your carrier are entered correctly. For T-Mobile, use info found here: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...ple-iphone
For those of you looking to do more than one order: Cricket appears to be sticking to their guns on the one per household, so you will need to do the second order to another address (Note your CC must also have that billing address)

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.
It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.
Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.
back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

Not sure why so many #'s he's selling are not valid. Didn't have this problem from other ebay sellers in the past.
Having said that, many ebay sellers are stating in their auctions to not use for Cricket port or to only use at Cricket store. I asked a seller last deal why he wasn't selling for Cricket and he replied that there was just too many problems with the #'s so it wasn't worth the hassle. I think I bought 4 #'s from him and all worked for Cricket online purchases.

I've ordered and received shipping confirmations for 3 orders of 2 SE's each. My goal is to trade 4 of them into Apple, and consolidate the remaining two accounts in such a way through account credits, self-referral, etc that I can keep the last two alive for 6 months and unlock them. Is that possible without any added cash?
I had thought each account would have $120 of credit total on the two lines. And if I downgraded them both and cancelled one, I'd immediately have $90 (3 months) for one line. Then I'd need to self refer and strategically merge to make sure I had six months of credit for 2 lines. But now I've realized that the $30 discount for buying two lines might actually be a $30 reduction in available credit, as well. Is that true? I also thought that I could self-refer so that I'd end up with $125 in referral credit ($50 each for 2 self-referrals and $25 for initial Reddit referral). Of course I could hope to gain extras through posting my own link to Reddit.
Any flaws or caveats I'm missing?
