The devs walked back their comments on not doing additional content. Two days ago the developers announced two updates that are bringing new maps this month and 2 new ships (B-wing and tie defender) next month.

The game has a non-sale price of $40. I think the devs just thought it would be a shorter, more niche experience and priced it accordingly. I bought it full price, haven't had much time to play it but enjoyed what I've played of the single player campaign.

Not that I own a crystal ball, or anything. However, this game is dropping in price, at a very fast rate. As we inch closer to the holidays. I'd imagine, it would get better, and better. I would suggest, if you can hold off, do it.

The email I got also said they'd be doing flash sales on Sunday including this and other EA titles. So it could get better.

It's because the creative director already stated they are done. They have no plans for any additional content. I expect to pick this up for $10 soon enough if the servers aren't already dead by then.
