I'm thinking everyone is price matching Home Depot.

its an "irobot" holiday deal. Not really a price match. I assume theyre giving all these resellers kickbacks and credits for purchased units.
Cons would be:
-Chinese owned (no clue about spying and data rights). Xiaomi is parent company and funded early development.
-Battery recharge time (All Roomba tend to fully recharge within 90 mins from dead, robo s6 pure seems to take 4-5 hrs, but has longer run time and can finish homes faster due to Lidar and better sensing capability)
-Single Bristle roller. (worse for pet hair than higher end Roombas with double rubber rollers)
-App has been hit or miss and forcing people to use the MI HOME app over the Roborock version.
Its a tough choice all around because the roborock seems like a valid smart robot over the Roomba, but roomba's have a good rep for lasting and having replacement parts ready to go.

That's hard. The Roborock looks interesting and has some really cool features like mopping, LIDAR mapping/No go zones, smart SW features over the Roomba

For me the Chinese owned is enough of a con to go the other direction.

The only substantial difference in the i3+ and the i7 is that the your can program the i7 where to clean. The i3+ is going to clear everywhere it can get to. And it's smart enough to not try to go down stairs or climb over anything very big. It does clean the doormat at our back patio door, but that is about as high as it climbs. Also, you can connect this to Alexa but you don't have to. Ours is just paired to the iRobot app on my cell phone.
Also, this thing is smarter than the old robots. It maps while it cleans so it knows if it misses a spot and will try to go back and clean it. It can also figure out how to get beneath dining room chairs if it can. So it cleans everywhere possible. If the battery gets low, it will just go back home, recharge and then pick up cleaning right where it left off.
I cannot talk highly enough about this little i3+ robot. We like it so much, we named it "Henry". As long as your floors don't stay too cluttered, you need one of these.

I agree with everything you said. I had one of these while it was still in testing and just bought one for keels now. I loved it so much more than my 600 series. Love that it'll charge and come back out and finish up. I don't need specific zones and it knowing how to get everywhere is good enough for my use. It is also much quieter than my 600 series. The bag did seem to trigger full notices more than expected but shaking it seemed to clear those and I suspect there are party bags are cheap. I took advantage of iRobot's 0% for 12 months offer even though I could've paid outright. Couldn't pass this up.
guess it uses the i8 battery which is 2210 mAH according to the irobot site replacement part listings.
