The X90CH is the warehouse (Costco/Sam's Club) version. They have a different model number so they are not open to price matching.

do yourself a favor and go over to rtings.com and read. Then you'll understand. Do some research.

I've been debating between this and the Vizio P Series, according to rtings the vizio has much better scores. But I would think the Sony has more longevity. Also the vizio isn't having VRR issues. Any advice would be helpful!

Can anybody confirm if this price is available in-store as well?
In store price is the same. I called a local Costco (nyc) earlier today for pricing and they have it at the same online price.

Hdmi 2.1 is a big deal for next gen gaming and the h9g lacks that
It's a big deal in general because as time goes on 4K@120 will be more and more realistic for the average game (especially for PC) and after 8 K where can we really go? I predict the future will not be resolution but other visual factors such as frame rate--we will see a change away from resolution being the main selling point sort of like how CPUs went from Mhz wars to number of cores.

Look at them side by side in a store?
The Vizio looked slightly better to me because it's more glossy.
I still bought this because I wanted an ATSC 3.0 tuner though and I trust Sony will release what they promised...

Are you able to get 4K 120FPS with this tv?
Sorry for the rambling. TLDR = YES with a "but".

Yes there was a firmware update for HDMI 2.1 and 4K/120. There have been grumblings on the internet that 4K/120 is a little fuzzy/buggy, but Sony has acknowledged and will work out the kinks in a future firmware update.

Not that we have many 4K/120 sources right now, unless you have an uber high end $$$$ PC with a Geforce 3080+ card. XBSX / PS5 will target 4K60 unless specific games are designed to go higher/sacrifice some PQ for FPS speed. Think racing games like Forza.

Keep in mind this is all about video games on next gen consoles and high end PCs. Cable & OTA HD is still at best 1080i and most sports events are broadcast in 720p. ATSC 3 broadcast is slowly rolling out. This TV is supposed to get a ATSC3 firmware update at some point. But not many markets online right now, and they are still 1080. According to this article, it could take years for OTA 4K to happen. Unless you live in South Korea.

https://www.digitaltrends.com/hom...C%20Oregon.

"According to the ATSC, "Later in the year, the 3.0 hosts could eventually offer 1080p 60 HD with high-dynamic-range (HDR), pending available content from the networks, and maybe even 4K UHD," but the dream of a full roster of channels broadcasting in 4K HDR around-the-clock is probably years away.

Even sports content, which will be among the first 4K HDR feeds, will be slow out of the gate, largely due to the effect that recent events have had on the entire industry. The 2020 Summer Olympics would have been the perfect showcase for ATSC 3.0, but with its postponement to 2021 (and possible cancellation), it is unknown when the first 4K HDR OTA broadcasts will happen."

Am in same boat, unable to decide between Samsung Q70t and this. What made you switch to Sony?

can someone confirm if this has Airplay built-in right now? Sony has known to promise capabilities but they never deliver.

While I don't have the TV in my possession (just bought it), I've seen many comments around that confirm this TV has AirPlay 2 support.

Upgrading from a 10 year old 720p plasma. Pretty excited.

Have Apple TV (non-4K). Mainly to play jack box games. Should I hook Apple TV up to this or not?

Anyone with a rec on tv mount? The $85 one from Costco looks good and spans 24" studs.

People: stop comparing to the q70t. It's not even close. Even from rtings, which is a very pro Samsung site: Overall, the Sony X900H performs much better than the Samsung Q70T QLED. The X900H has a higher peak brightness, it has local dimming, and its response time is significantly better, resulting in less motion blur. On the other hand, the Q70T has a higher contrast ratio and a lower input lag.

The q70t doesn't even have local dimming. It's not comparable to the 900h.

I have airplay options but I'm not an ios guy so can't tell you for sure if they work.

This tv hangs and resets using the built in smart features once a week or so. Once you calibrate and turn off the random motion supports and interpolation it looks nice.

TBD if sony actually fixes the hdmi 2.1 4k/120.

Picture is 9/10
UI is 8/10
Bugs/issues 3/10

Overall I'm about a 7/10 satisfied. Got the 65 for 850 shipped no tax about 2 months ago

Q70T doesn't have local dimming either I believe, which makes it edge lit and not FALD like X900H, this was the reason I got the x900h last sale. It would be comparable to Q80T or Q70R, but those are hard to come by at this price

Losing my mind at this point. Bought the 75" at $1559 because $200 more than the 65" was a no brainer. But now it's a $600 difference! I sit about 10 feet away and could get by with the 65". Should I save the $? Argh!
Had the same dilemma. Got the 75" in store last evening and after I saw the 65" on sale this morning, went back to the store to get it. Watch Spiderman first 30mins back to back on both. Based on your needs and if you can afford to do it, I'd recommend that approach. Picture is amazing on both but decided to return the 65" and keep the 75" solely based on the fact that the 65" wasn't much of a screen size difference replacing my current 55".

I'm waiting on a X950 as well. How was your experience with B&H?
Experience with B&H last year was great; free shipping and no tax; delivered in five days... no damage. TV still going strong. B&H is charging me tax now, so a deal this year would have to be exceptional for me to consider them.
