Are these the ones actually made by them or made by another company?

They make their own and make others.

Newegg has same price with $15 MIR. Reviews are mixed, I see lot of 1-star reviews that mention that it failed in first month.

One of the top rated reviews (1/5) said following.

Pros: First of all this is a standard 650W PSU which will be sufficient for average users and gamers.
+ 650W Provide plenty of power for system with High End GPU E.g Titan XP, Radeon VII.
+ Cables are long and covered in black sleeves. Some of the sata Cables are Flat and are very flexible for cable management.
+ This model uses 120mm Globe Fan Sleeve Bearing with Seasonic S2FC home made fan controller which does a good job at keeping it quiet under nominal Load. But it is always spinning and there is no QUIET mode.
+ Normal Operating temperate is 40c but (advertised maximum temp of 105c, something to observe).

Cons: Negative: S12III just like it's predecessor the S12II is built on older and outdated platform compared to the more efficient DC to DC topography. This PSU is not even built my SEASONIC. It is outsourced and manufactured by RSY.
Seasonic S12III proudly claims this PSU is uses 100% Japanese Capacitors. Just got the PSU today and one look revealed the shadiness. Seasonic's own spec sheet says ALL JAPANESE caps as well. https://seasonic.com/pub/media/pd...II-GB3.pdf.

Truth of the matter is Season has utilized lower grade TEAPO branded capacitors. You cannot trust the claimed 105c rating on these capacitors. For those who don't know, TEAPO branded capacitors are Taiwanese, but made in China! Their caps used to leak like there's no tomorrow. Teapo branded capacitors are used is many low end PSU for OEM. Now they're getting better, but still nowhere near Japanese caps. Most of the secondary capacitors around this board are also Teapo branded capacitors. Seasonic is misleading customers with cheaper components. Seasonic selected lower tier components on this PSU. It gets better.

Seasonic used 100% teapo cap (LH,SC series), LLC converter use a monolithic HR1000A controller (amerika brand) , relay bypass NTC and ic supervisor is GR8313. BTW GR8313 does NOT provide OCP for minor rails. This PSU lacks and provides no OTP or OCP which are over-temperature or over-current protection (missing very important and critical features) !!!

Seasonic is a good brand and they make PSU components for many other brands but they clearly mislabeled this PSU. For similar price tag there are far better options. I would steer away from this PSU and go with other reputable brand. Seasonic cut corners when they are not the OEM and outsource the manufacturing of PSU to 3rd party and used lower tier components.

Just in case anybody's wondering, NVIDIA recommends at least 650W (like this PSU) for the RTX 3070, and 750W for the 3080. But obviously total power draw depends on the full system, and it's always better to give yourself some headroom.

This sucks. Seasonic used to be a brand you could blindly trust - anything with their name on it, at the very least, was at a solidly decent level of quality.

I think their gold PSUs are still good. I think they cut corners to make money during supply shortages.

I have been running this PSU for the last 9 months. Zero problems and it's quiet.
They have a 5 year warranty as well if I remember correctly. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again.
I had to purchase a Corsair PSU for a Christmas build only because these have been out of stock for months.
650 watts will run pretty much any mid-tier systems without issue.

Yeah, if you are spending ~$400 or more on a GPU alone this is not a hill to let your hardware die on.

That said you are using any GPU that "only" needs a single 6 or 8 pin connector and are not OC'ing the crap out of a 9/10th gen intel K CPU then this will likely cover your bases.

It would be cool if it had nicer internals but this is the higher power version of a $30 power supply. If you aren't pushing the capacity it should be fine, I've used a couple without drama.

It's nice to see some normal prices coming back. Would prefer to see this under $50 but it's been so insane lately with all options seeming to really start at $80+.
