The Olympics that never was...
Seems like most of the comments here are from adults that find this game too "boring." I bought this game for my kids (ages 9 and 6). My 9 year old plays the game all the time and loves it. I even enjoy playing some of the games with him as well. Are their games within this game that aren't great, for sure, but some of the events are a lot of fun to play (soccer and rugby are our favorites).

The "audience" is just a bunch of CGI Lakitus and Goombas.

Save your money and buy something else. Story mode is so slow. Events gameplay is meh.

This is a decent "retro" kind of game for us Gen Xers who loved to play Konami's Track and Field in the 80s. Worth $25 for that. I think I paid around $35 for it earlier this year. It's not a $60 game for sure, but for $25, definitely a good way to take a 5 min break from reality. (I only play individual game mode).
