Note, a new Fi customer is somebody who is new to Google Fi on either a new plan or a new member as a part of an existing group plan.

TO qualify for the $500 discount:
  • Activate the Samsung Note20 on a full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and remain active on Google Fi for 90 consecutive days.
  • You must also bring/transfer your number to Fi within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email. Fi-to-Fi number transfers are not eligible.

Yes no port required for the Note 20 deals for existing customers, just activate within 30 days and keep active for 90 days. This deal is better for existing customers than the 4a 5G which was $50 more for existing customers (w/o the porting requirement)

Just got a confirmation from Google fi customer support:


I would like to inform you that you should activate the device with Google Fi within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and remain active on Google Fi for 90 consecutive days.

The device should have Google Fi SIM and should be with Google Fi for 90 consecutive days.

I know the T&C mention the 90 days, but at checkout it says,
"Make sure to remain active on Fi for 30 days in order to retain instant rebate earned today."

I would think you can use the fi sim in another phone. I mean, what if you don't like the phone hypothetically or it us difficult to use, you are not allowed to swap sims? You are using the active service on the swapped device so what does it matter.

Yup - the trade that was suppsed to finish yesterday is still active. I just used my Note 8 as trade for $350. I don't even want the Note 20, but the trade will refresh the future value of my phone for the next trade. It's definitely going to worth more than the $400 ($220 I paid w/ service + $150-180 current value) if/when I move up to a S21 or Note 21 next year.

What is a full service plan ?? The cheapest I see is $20 + $10/gb data, is that eligible. i hardly use any data.

that's the cheapest. just dont turn on mobile data. comes to 25ish after taxes for me a month
