Note, a new Fi customer is somebody who is new to Google Fi on either a new plan or a new member as a part of an existing group plan.

TO qualify for the $500 discount:
  • Activate the Samsung Note20 on a full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and remain active on Google Fi for 90 consecutive days.
  • You must also bring/transfer your number to Fi within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email. Fi-to-Fi number transfers are not eligible.

figured from reddit.

to remove a phone from your cart. Click on the EDIT button next to the phone. That will take you to the options screen for that phone. To remove the phone, click on the currently selected color option to remove it. Once you do that, you will be able to click on the BACK button at the bottom of the screen and it will be gone from your cart. Essentially, you have to "remove" an option tied to the phone to remove it from your cart.

Alternatively you can pay 10 dollars per 1gb. Most doing this deal aren't planning on staying with Google Fi past the 90 days. (some will even do the deal to flip the phone, as seen by the pixel 4a 5g thread, so theyre looking to keep costs down as much as possible)

Multiple people have suggested that you can port in a google voice number to FI. However another person said this probably won't work since the google account that's used would convert the google voice number into a FI number. Anyone know the correct answer?

Too bad google fi service is too expensive. If it's $30 for 1gb of data, and $60 for unlimited, the $499 credit is equivalent to $249 for many slickdeals users

For sure, to maximize costs I would not use it at all after activating the sim. Also don't forget to use a referral code to get $20 off your second month
