Google Fi is offering their 128GB Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G Smartphone on sale for $499 (or $20.83/month) when you purchase, activate and bring/transfer your number to Fi from your current carrier to be eligible valid for New Google Fi Customers only. Thanks CoralMint160
Note, a new Fi customer is somebody who is new to Google Fi on either a new plan or a new member as a part of an existing group plan.

Talked to a CSR. He said the best they can do is file an exception, but I need to activate it first. Wasn't convinced too much on it. But I googled and saw a post from 2018 from their Community Manager. It states they will price match, but one of the conditions is to activate first. So maybe the rep is correct.

For the trade in - a cracked screen galaxy s8 on Ebay can be had for $55-75 and trades in for 320.
My order is $530 (with tax) - $320 trade in + $70 (S8 broken) = $280.
Sell your working phone separately rather than trade it in.
