Says this thing outputs almost 17V when charged 100%. This is not safe for your car's electronics

What do you mean "not true"?
It is right there in the video, showing 16.76V with no load

There is a screen on the cable which has a built in voltmeter in it. Most don't have this. It at least lets you know if your battery is actually low.

I have a 7L in my mustang. I'm skeptical that this will turn it over. Has anyone actually tried using this on a big block muscle car?

won't your dead battery absorb it?

I'm not sure it will absorb enough for it to drop to under 15, might depend of how bad it has discharged. I think they should've added a voltage regulator to avoid unsafe output voltages

fuses and circuit breakers should be protecting the electronics... and the dead battery would absorb the shock.. should be fine for a jump

Good news: This thing is amazing. It has yet to fail me since I bought my first one in January 2020.

Bad news: I know it's amazing because I've used it at least a dozen times so far. My Sienna van will randomly not start every so often. No pattern or reason that I can tell. This jumps it every time. I have a V8 F150 that's basically a "Home Depot" truck. It might get driven once every 2-3 months. Battery has died in the cold weather and this jumped it easily. I have already helped 3 random people while out shopping this holiday season that I've seen with their hood up in store parking lots.
