What's the difference between Active (88% Nylon - 12% Spandex) and Cool (93% Polyester - 7% Spandex) when it comes to feeling and comfort?
I own the Active but not the Cool so I'm buying the Cool to try it out, also COVID made me fatter so I need to go up a size
It all depends on how they make the product really. I used to think Nylon is silkier than Polyester until I realized they now have the technology to treat the fibers however they like. Most of my favorite gym shorts are made of 100% Polyester, and yet they look and feel pretty much the same as this Active Mesh Nylon material does, except the polyester doesn't stretch when you tug on them. Both materials wrinkle easily when you don't take it out of the dryer fast enough.
I also own a 90% Polyester 10% Spandex New Balance windbreaker that feels thin and coarse as if I was wearing something made out of a cheap tent, but then right next to it I have a 100% Nylon Reebok windbreaker that reminds me of a plastic bag.
The Active Mesh version is super silky and all, but the stitching is coming off after just 1 wash. Hopefully Cool version is sturdier.

I found the Nylon/Spandex "active mesh" is much more comfortable and cooler. The "cool" version is very soft and fabric a little denser and therefore a bit warmer than the "active mesh". The names they use really should be called "cool" and "cooler" IMO. The "active mesh" seems to be more flexible and not a tight fit. The "cool" version seems to run a slight bit small or tighter for me.

Thinking of getting two 4-packs though as a poor man's alternative to Duluth / ExOfficio.
