Also is the free line unlimited talk text data (my current plan is that) or will it just be unlimited talk and text? Do I have to tell Costco that I only need unlimited talk & text and no data?
It will be whatever plan you have on the other lines in the account.. so if you have unlimited everything, that's what you get on this line too.

I see some people not doing the port in at Costco, but, instead would wait until going home and then do the port in and then send the rebates w new number. Wouldn't it be better just to do the port in at Costco along with the new line? Am I missing something? Thanks.

Same here. I've read through this entire post and the other free line post on SD. Still confused as why we can't simply port in a number at Costco, get the $200 rebate from Costco and also apply for the $100 rebate from T-mobile using promo 2020SWITCHP2 from their website

Same thought process.. why not just add the line and port in at Costco then submit rebates? This would make it cleaner submitting the rebates since port in number would be it

Maybe to keep the promo separate? Don't confuse Costco/T-Mobile ?
I have Magenta Bsiness plan (SOC ZMAGENTA2) so it qualifies for this free line offer. One of the Costco reps had mentioned a few months ago that they don't handle Magenta Biz plan. Is that correct? If so, I can't add a line there. Can someone please confirm? Thanks
This Costco deal doesn't require porting a number in, just an unlocked GSM compatible phone. However, if you port a number after adding a new line/number at Costco, make sure to use the new port-in number when submitting the rebate or else they will not see the old new number on the new line that is replaced by the port-in number.
I'm lost - Venn diagram please
