There are only 2 options:
1. Buy the phones at full price, or wait for a promo at Costco to offset some of the costs.
2. Sign up for EIP at one of the carriers.
The 1st option will result in more cost upfront, but you won't be tied to any carrier.
The 2nd option will result in subsidized phones, but will involve monthly credits for 24-30 months.
Just goto Costco and have them add a line. No need to mention ' this is a free line ' since that'll likely throw them off.
As long as your plan qualifies, you havent cancelled a line in the last 90 days, and have 2 post paid lines active... this line from Costco will get registered as ' This one on us'
Done!
Do you know if Costco can add a line for Magenta for Business plan? Thx

I also went to Costco this morning. 2nd in line (the first person was also adding a line on T-mobile). Said I wanted to add a line on T-Mobile for the $200 Costco card. I did not mention the FREE T-Mobile line at all.
Rep asked me to log into terminal with my SSN and Last Name. Once my account was found, Rep asked for the IMEI of the phone I was going to use and area code I wanted for my new phone number.
About 10 mins later scanned my Costco card and gave me SIM card. Had me sign a few forms, gave me Costco $200 card submission paper work and off I went.
Got home and installed SIM card in the phone. A few mins later I got a welcome text from T-mobile. Checked my account online and FREE line was showing up on my account - 2020 Line on Us 3 (Additional Lines).
Is it a better idea to initiate the port while adding the line in Costco - to help stack both the $200 and $100 offers? Please confirm..I am at the store

Already submitted paper work for $200 card.
How does the byod work? Can you just give them the imei of any phone youre already using on your account, or does it somehow cross reference with your what's currently active on your account and have to be a new imei?
