You were able to sign up at Costco and get the rebate form with just the IMEI number? The actual phone wasn't needed?
When signing up at Costco you don't need the phone there. Just need to give them the IMEI. But I believe you do need to put the phone on T-Mobile network.
I finished my steps today and waiting for the reward cards now.
(I had no account with Tmobile and was interested in the 300$ ONLY). So only 1 line.
1. Got SIM from Costco with a new number (say NUM1) for Tmobile. I asked for Essential plan (as there is NO restriction of plan). BUT I was assigned the 55 unlimited plan for 45$ (40 with auto-pay - dont know how!)
2. Ported out GV numbers (say NUM 2). Paid 3$ (generated a new number and ported instantly) - YES google voice worked!
3. Chatted with Tmobile to port-in NUM 2
4. Filled in Costco rebate for 200 with NUM 2
5. Filled in Tmobile rebate using code 2020SWITCHP2 for 100$ with NUM 2
If both GCs comes, I could be in net 220$ (300 - 40 - 40 for 2 monthly cycle)
Going tomorrow to do this with two phones, one on AT&T Prepaid Plan and one on a Corporate AT&T plan I am going to leave. Planning to signup for Magenta+ 55 plan.
Is it better to port at time of signup at Costco or port later after signing up at Costco?
Does it matter when you port to get the extra $100 deal through T-Mobile?
So did anyone gets confirmation(s) from TM that this free line deal with $200 rebate also qualify for the free Pixel 4a with trade in?? I keep getting mixed responses from TM.
Thanks Guys. I went to costco today. Added a line..Guy asked last 4 of account holder's social and account pin. I also made sure to check with T mobile that i have privileges to add a line in the account.
I ported the number in store itself. I also had the FLEXPAY issue but guy was well informed and added a line manually.

Two options:
Name + social
or
phone number + pin number
I used the latter because I am an authorized user (Account belongs to my sis). If you want to make sure youre in the clear first, call TMO and tell them to ensure that you have authorized user privileges (ability to add lines, etc)

They asked for last 4 digits of SSN and made me type SSN to get the new line on their computer at Costco.

They check the Primary Account Holder Valid ID Card. May differ from store to store.

I had to provide the last 4 of the SSN and the pin code. First they asked for the full SSN but then told me that the pin would work as well.

I was asked for both...last 4 and later the whole shebang.
I signed up for a free line last Thursday with Tmobile directly thinking the Costco offer was expired. Has anyone cancelled with tmobile and signed up again with Costco to get the free line?
I was at Costco today. The Rep takes my current device imei for the rebate. But the imei is linking to my current number. Do I need to input the new sim to my phone? Is it better to change my old number to an esim?

Only step 1 was done at costco. And again, forget the Num1 after you port is out in step 3.

Any other considerations?
