I have FRLTULF2 and opened the free line at Costco on 11/25. The promo never showed up until I did the following steps.
Went into my account and went to add-on options for the new number. At the "manage data and add-ons" page I changed the monthly data plan from "T-mobile ONE" to "No Data"
After about 3 minutes, the 2020 line on us promo 3 showed up on my account.
I changed the monthly data plan back to t-mobile one after.
Hope this helps anyone who's been waiting for days for an update. Please report if you're successful.
or can I use a phone that is TMOB locked one in first place to say BYOD?.
Given $200 Costco rebate says "BYO device to remain for at least three bill cycles" to be eligible, it's not worth risking trying to bundle it with device discounts. It's probably safe to get the rebates and then upgrade as an existing customer, which I understand may not have good deals like it does for new line promo.
I'm trying to determine if "BYO device to remain for at least three bill cycles" refers to the same IMEI.
For instance, if I purchase (or have) another phone and simply swap SIM card between phones before receiving the Gift Card, will that kill the rebate?
Anyone see anything about this in the actual Terms?
Just a suggestion, If you could cancel that free line with tmobile and then follow the steps below, then you could stack 3 deals.
1. Get SIM from Costco with a new number. They will ask you is this free line. You can say yes. This will secure your free line and 200$ rebate
2. Get another number from eBay or Google voice (easier option) - dont give this to costco
3. After that talk to Tmobile and port the new number from step 2
4. Fill in Costco rebate for 200 using the number from step 2 Online
5. Fill in Tmobile rebate online using code 2020SWITCHP2 for 100$ with number from step 2.
Hope that helps.

When submitting rebate you are asked to provide IMEI and permanent phone number, which in my case was filled out by Costco rep in the hard copy that matched the phone I used and the number I ported. Checking rebate status shows the submitted info.

Please help me. I read through about 30 pages and my eyes hurt. Can somebody kindly give me the next steps on how to do the Free Line Promo From Tmobile and $100 Rebate and stack with the Costco $200 BYOD promo? I just ordered the free line from Tmobile 2 days ago and the new SIM card is being mailed to me. The Costco deal ends on 12/3rd. I don't want to miss the deadline. I also want to buy a port in number from Ebay. Do I buy this number on Ebay and bring it to Costco first than fill out the Rebate for Tmobile or do I need to wait for my SIM card? I dont know why I find this so confusing. Anyone that helps, will surely REP. Thanks in advance!
I have a Magenta2 SOC account with 3 lines +1 free line already. This process added another line to my account for free.
Walked into Costco and requested a new line
a) They wanted my Tmobile Account info which I provided
b) He added a line, provided a non temporary phone number, and the paperwork for the $200 Costco Cash Card. I will fill out this promo a few days after I do the below.
For Tmobile's side of the equation they need:
a) A non Tmobile/MVNO phone number, account number, and PIN
b) the IMEI of a qualifying phone
2) I didn't have a number to port in so I got a Verizon number on ebay here:
a) EDIT: Ok the ebay guy I went to doesn't have anymore. Read this thread, there are a few links to ebay'ers selling port in Verizon/ATT numbers
b) Needed a qualifying phone. Checked the list and found a Google Pixel 2 for $100 on Swappa. Bought the phone and the IMEI was available on the receipt which was handy since I needed that number right away.
3) Called TMO. My agent didn't know about the promo and took some time to gather what she needed. First, confirmed that the Costco added line was free ( It was ) then asked about the Pixel promo. She was shocked at the good deal but she processed it.
She needed:
The IMEI number of the Pixel phone
The port in number, account #, and pin
Made me sign a document via email
Ordered the Pixel 4a 5g, paid taxes on that
Once it was done, I hung up and a 10 minutes later got a text saying the port in was successful. Went to the TMO promotions page and filled out the $100 Port in Promo.
One thing of note, for those who want to sell the Pixel 4a 5g: She said the phone must be active on the network for 40 days. Then, I could call in to request an unlock. So FYI.
Things I'm not sure about:
Will Costco honor the $200 rebate? I'll find out in 14 weeks
Will Tmobile honor the $100 port in? I'll find out in 8 weeks
Hope this helps.

The big question I have is that I've seen some posts that say google voice numbers are allowed to be ported in and some other posts that say google voice numbers don't count and you won't get your $100 port in rebate from T-Mobile. Which one is it?
