I added a line at Costco yesterday, upon checking my account history ( PDF file document), I found a $45 charge for my next bill for this added line, I think I will receive $25 bill credit for this line, as this line is supposed to be free, but why I was also charged $20 for assisted support ? The Costco rep didn't mention the charge to me at all. The rep did give me a sim card, just wondering if this charge is correct? Thanks.
Don't worry about the assisted support charge. Costco doesn't charge it. That estimated next bill charge is wrong. Costco doesn't have access to your T-Mobile plan's nuances. They don't see 20% hookup discount, for example. If your online T-Mobile account shows correct numbers and other info, that's it. Just wait for your next bill. You can contact T-Mobile then, if anything is wrong with the bill.

There are no details in that website. The hard copy provided by Costco also has minimal info. It is unclear how they will verify if the IMEI provided in the rebate is still in service with T-Mo.
Active IMEIs are registered in the T-Mobile's system. Subscribers can also see which IMEI is currently paired with which line via their online T-Mobile accounts. Whether T-Mobile is going to actually enforce that "BYOD should be active for three billing cycles on the line" wording is unclear. I think it is unlikely. But they can (meaning technically they are capable), if they want.

There is a difference though. It is not a T-Mo rebate, but Costco's BYOD. Unclear what info T-Mo shares with Costco to validate the rebate. I am not sure if T-Mo has anything to enforce unless they are obligated to Costco to ensure their rebate is properly authorized.

Agree it's unlikely that T-Mobile will monitor and share any actual IMEI usage info with Costco. Wireless Associates' kiosk guy told me that it's fine to swap SIM cards from this deal between different devices. I think he is right. But I am going to leave all SIM cards in the respective devices that were used to add those lines until I get Costco cards. Just in case lol.

That looks pretty good. I had 4 lines since Sept $250 promo and paying $120. Did you have Tmobile or Sprint account before? So if everything goes well, you are supposed to get 4 x $200 from Costco cash card and 4x $100 from Tmobile BYOD, right?

Yes, the two promos are stackable according to the OP. I had Sprint account before but closed it long time ago.

I also closed my Sprint account a month ago, I attempted to open a Tmobile account during Tmobile $250 promo in Sept, but was declined due to having Sprint account. I said that I have Tmobile 4 lines since Sept, but it's actually my son's account, not myself. Since I just closed my Sprint account a month ago ( never had Tmobile account, just wondering if I could open 4 lines at Costco, maybe it's easier to open than Tmobile online. I already added a line yesterday to the current Tmobile 4 lines, don't know if Costco $200 promo allows two accounts for rebate.

Saw this on reddit and it worked for me to get the 2020 line on us 3 promo to show up on my account:

I have FRLTULF2 and opened the free line at Costco on 11/25. The promo never showed up until I did the following steps.

Went into my account and went to add-on options for the new number. At the "manage data and add-ons" page I changed the monthly data plan from "T-mobile ONE" to "No Data"

After about 3 minutes, the 2020 line on us promo 3 showed up on my account.
I changed the monthly data plan back to t-mobile one after.

Hope this helps anyone who's been waiting for days for an update. Please report if you're successful.
Thanks!! This worked for me - I have a T-mobile One plan. I checked with rep before I went to Costco to confirm I qualified. Did the Costco thing and never got the text confirming the promotion. So I chatted T-Mobile customer service and the second rep said the first rep was wrong and I didn't actually qualify since I already got a free line earlier this year.

So I figured I would just keep the line long enough to get the cash card. Then thought I should check back at SD to see if others had this issue and...sure enough found this post. Followed your steps and now I have my free line! 🙂

Thank you!

you are absolutely right, I messed up on this and no way i'm going into costco and trying to do this deal and risk losing my free line. I'll chalk it up as a learning experience. Thanks for the clarification. Repped

You are out of luck. Since you already ordered/added your free line, you're not going to get the Costco $200 promo since you needed to open the line at Costco for that. It's not even worth a try ... accept that you missed that offer and let it go. You can still port in a number to get the T-Mobile $100. The only thing the reps at Costco might do is mess up your free line that you already have.

Irc this promo expires 12/03? So not much time for me to look over posts. Here's my situation.

Already added a line and order the $99 S20 FE 5g promo thru tmobile (still being delivered and I am One Military...😭 no free line).

Objective:
Dip into costco AAL 200 card.
Dip into tmobile port in 100 card.
99 s20 fe 5g with AAL

Concerns:
1. I'm tmobile acct holder but sister is in my plan, she is costco member.
2.Already AAL thru tmobile (puts me at 12th line, believe that is max).
3. Still unsure if GV is a safe way to port. Read h2o is fairly inexpensive, forgot how much.
4. Still waiting for s20 to delivered, how to circumvent BYOD. And also want to do port in.

Questions for above concerns:
1. If acct holder also need to be membership holder then I apologize you've been strung along this far. Can either/both be at costco?
2. If at max line do I cancel the AAL thru tmobile and then AAL costco? Ordered s20 within the promo period (11/30) and its page doesn't state when the AAL must be done. So meaning is it OK I ordered the phone first then AAL at costco?
3. Still reading conflicting acct about GV. Need clarification, tho if with this 200 card I'd be OK with current pricier att/Verizon port in #. Nonetheless would like solid options...h2o, numberbarn?, ...?
4. So costco is byod and tmobile is port in. I wont the s20 anytime soon but I have old phones around. But can I just AAL and not provide a phone/imei? Then do port in when I have s20/port in #?

Definitely need a lot of inputs, new to this double/triple/quad dip promos.

For $200 Costco rebate, does the name of Tmobile account have to match Costco membership name? I added a line yesterday using wife 's name, while the membership is my name and she doesn't have Costco card. Thanks.

I just got back from Costco...

Background:
I have a Magenta Plus Biz plan with 2 paid lines and a free line when I signed up for service over a year ago.

The Costco Experience:
The Costco guy tried to add a new line for me via the computer system and it didn't work, so he had to call in and get them to add it. It was added. Costco gave me a sim card and a new phone number for that sim. Took a while since T-mobile phone support seemed swamped.

The one mistake I made was that I forgot to bring in a spare phone (BYOD) that had never been on the T-mobile network before. But I had my old t-mobile phone which is now on Visible service (I put the sim from the Visible iPhone 12 Pro Max deal into my old t-mobile phone). T-mobile seemed to be ok with the IMEI when the Costco guy read it to them, so maybe it doesn't matter if the device *USED* to be on t-mobile now, as long as it's not a current t-mobile device? (Maybe someone can clarify this)

Costco guy filled out the $200 rebate paperwork for me and now I can enter it into the rebate website for my GC. He mentioned that when I enter the info into the rebate website, to use the IMEI that was written down, but that I can actually put the sim card into any other phone and still be eligible for the GC. I think I'll swap my visible sim to another phone and put the t-mobile sim into the phone with the IMEI that I gave (just in case they do some sort of checking).

Line on Us Promo:
I haven't logged into my t-mobile account to see if the Line On Us promo shows up yet - does anyone know how long it takes for that promo to show up?
