If you prefer a more minimalist monitor this Lenovo has similar specs (yes this one does have VESA 100x100). It is however $10 more.

I agree. Got two of the Lenovo ones. The Lenovo ones have a tilt feature, this one doesn't.

sorry I am not familiar with displayport. Does it mean it can't be connected a laptop for video and audio?

There are several similar Samsung monitors on sale at Amazon but the cheapest 24" I see is for $110. WiseGuitar857 might have mistakenly spotted the 21.5" for $90.

I bought this last couple weeks ago. This is the first samsung that I am disappointed. Maybe that's why it's $90. I wasn't happy with the quality, but for $90 I'm really lazy to return it.

Dammit, just bought this yesterday... but that Lenovo looks like it would have been a better option.

I'm certainly no expert, but these are more geared towards gaming, not really PC overall needs. If you need one for gaming, go 32" since this might be too small.

The dell $80 no vesa mount..this Samsung one, build quality is not good, I picked up two, both had dead pixels on the display, returned them..
Dead pixels on both? How is that possible. I've never seen a single dead pixel in a new monitor

An active hdmi to DP adapter costs around 30 bucks. That's a third of the price of the monitor. And doesn't allow me to daisy chain my monitors together.
