An active hdmi to DP adapter costs around 30 bucks. That's a third of the price of the monitor. And doesn't allow me to daisy chain my monitors together.
Sorry, I was thinking the reverse where a passive adapter would work. DP++ output.

Got this yesterday. It feels like a toy, the build quality is really cheap and cost reduced. As a result it is very light. This was for my sister for college productivity and it will serve its purpose as long as it displays a picture but nothing about this was good even for $90. I worry about how cheap the internals are given how cheap the external materials were. I needed to buy quickly if you don't, I would keep researching.

As a side note I hate Bestbuy mainly because of their terrible 14 day return policy but it seems right now they may have extended it to mid January.

Too much complaining. If you worry so much and have buyers remorse, go ahead and spend $40 or $50 more for a better monitor. Seriously I am you can afford it extra for your mental health an happiness. I would even spend 100s more for my mental happiness.

It's like HDMI but a different standard. It's become the standard on business computers mostly

Received mine a week ago today, with considerations to build quality, size and footprint and the overall visual package; for $90, no complaints, have had no mentioned issues of dead pixels, poor viewing angles or light bleed whatsoever. Just thought I'd give my two cents.
